Story
Rocky is a sweet, affectionate girl. She is happy to play outside and run around but also spends a lot of time napping and cuddling on the couch. I adopted Rocky a few months ago, and we’ve become very attached to one another, but I am 77 years old and my age has been a challenge in caring for Rocky. I have developed arthritis in my ankle and it’s hard for me to walk her regularly. I also have a lot of family that comes to visit and Rocky is very, very skittish around new people. She seems to be especially afraid of men and runs away whenever my son-in-law enters the room. I have allowed Rocky to sleep on my bed and come up on the couch, but a trainer told me that to build her confidence, Rocky needs stronger boundaries and to learn that I am in charge. I have found that at my age I don’t have the energy to put into the necessary training to undo some of these habits. Rocky loves being around my daughter's dog and I think she'd do well in a home with other dogs and not many people

The person who surrendered Nauset to the shelter reported she was one of 3 puppies from a mixed breed mom, the person said yorkie mix...... not seeing it but what we do know is she is friendly and loving. Chatham is a 3.5 month old, 11 lb mixed breed pup. The person who surrendered him and 2 other dogs to the shelter down south reported that they were yorkie mixes. Not necessarily seeing that but that is what we were told. What we do know is that he is an adorable little guy. He is a little shy at first but warms up quickly. M 2.5 yo 57 lbs Waylon is a handsome blond Lab with a sweet personality and a soft spot for attention. From your first interaction Waylon will make it clear what he wants: love! He eagerly asks for affection and attention, but he’s also happy to explore on his own. He can be independent, but he’ll happily circle back when he’s ready for more pets and companionship. Waylon has a medium energy level that makes him a great balance of playful and relaxed. He takes treats gently from your hand and has excellent manners in that department, though he doesn’t seem to know any tricks just yet. With a little training and plenty of positive reinforcement, this smart boy will likely pick up new skills quickly.
