Worcester, MA
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Not good with kids, Not good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained,
Story
Bowser originally came into Animal Control care after an incident where he bit his former owners who we believe were abusing him. He has been waiting at our kennel in Worcester, MA for about 8 mo. as all of the rescues we have contacted are unwilling to take him. Due to his bite history, the adopter must be a skilled dog handler, preferably someone experienced in working with bully breeds/behaviorally challenged dogs. The adopter MUST BE WILLING & ABLE TO CONTINUE USING THE E-COLLAR & A CRATE for training behavior management purposes. Despite his history, once he is comfortable with you, he is extremely loving, goofy, & playful. Give him treats & he will love you forever. We do not know his exact age or breed, but he is estimated to be between 4-6 yrs old & possibly a mini/pocket bully mix. He is physically healthy & does not have any pre-existing medical conditions, nor resource guarding or separation anxiety issues. He is neutered & up to date on rabies distemper vaccines.

Details
Good with kids, Not good with cats, Needs special attention, House-trained,
Story
London is about 10-12 yrs old. She is spayed with a microchip but needs a vet visit and vaccines. She has arthritis and needs to be started on meds to help her get around easier. She was never properly socialized with dogs and was also attacked by an Akita so she is dog selective I would say. No small dogs though. Proper, slow introductions with another dog would be needed so an experienced home with this would be necessary. If no other pets she's an easy girl. She's good with respectful children and absolutely loves people and attention. She can be left loose in the house and not get into any trouble. She walks fine on a leash and is a calm chill dog looking for her family to live out her golden years. Her dad is enlisting in the Navy and cannot bring her with him sadly. She needs a home within the week. All the shelters and rescues are full, we have already tried that route. Located in Weymouth MA but transport is available! Please contact me for more information!

Story
Jules is a fun loving goof ball who loves nothing more in life than chasing his orange rubber ball all day long. He is more of a people dog than a dog, dog and is soon to be 10 years old but has the energy of a 5 year old. His place as king of the household has changed with two young sisters now running around and sadly he cares so much about them that he howls/whines every time they cry. He would be much happier to have another house to himself so he can chase his ball in peace.

Story
Pepper is a sweet girl who loves to cuddle and play. She is also nervous and anxious and will need an experienced adopter with patience and time to let her adjust. She should not be with other pets or in a house with children. She would do best in a quieter home with one or two people who have time to walk and play with her. She is well trained, (walks well on a leash) house trained and crate trained. She is fun and silly and has so much love to give, we just cannot have her in our home with two young children.

Good with kids, Good with dogs, Not good with cats, House-trained,
Story
Stella is a sweet and incredibly affectionate dog. She loves to be with her people. She is very strong and energetic. She loves going on walks but will pull to chase a squirrel or bunny. She goes to doggy daycare and has been socialized with other dogs. She loves to sniff and play with other dogs. She does not like cats. We have one and have to keep them separated. Stella has been with us since she was 10 wks and was a rescue from WAGS. She’s 4 now. We were told we were getting a black lab. Her paper work identified her as such. After DNA testing she is a mix breed of Black Lab, Staffordshire Terrier, Weimaraner, Boxer & Husky. She is powerful, fast, and the sweetest girl ever. Unfortunately, due to severe health issues that affect my eyes and future vision, I have to make this awful decision to re-home Stella. We are looking for someone loving, strong and has time to spend with Stella as she craves attention and will sit right on top of you if you let her! She is a love!
