Story
We recently adopted Ranger from Griffin Pond Animal Shelter after finding him at a local park. As first-time dog owners, we realized, after seeking help from a trainer, that we are not the right fit for his needs and energy level. Ranger is an extremely high-energy mutt who needs far more physical activity, mental stimulation, and structure than we can provide in our current living situation and given our schedules.Ranger would thrive with an experienced dog owner who is familiar with high-energy breeds and who understand how to work with dogs who struggle to self-regulate and relax on their own. He would greatly benefit from continued training focused on de-escalation, settling, and impulse control.Because of his energy level, Ranger needs a home with a very large fenced yard or access to plenty of space where he can safely run and burn off energy daily, since our townhome is not the right setup for him.

Story
Meet Nova! ❤️ Nova is a 3-year-old, 50-pound Lab mix with a heart as big as her energy level. If you're looking for a fun-loving, affectionate companion, Nova is ready to be your new best friend! This sweet girl loves everyone she meets—kids, dogs, cats, and just about any person willing to give her attention. Her favorite thing in the world is playtime, whether that's running around with other dogs, playing with the kids, or enjoying a game with her family. When she's excited, she may even jump up to give your raised hand a little tap, as if she's asking for a high five. Nova is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows sit, lay down, roll over, and shake. After a day of fun and zoomies, her second favorite activity is snuggling under a blanket right next to her people. Nova would thrive in an active home with a fenced yard and a family of any age ready to give her the love, playtime, and cuddles she adores.

Story
A friend's dog had an unexpected litter of puppies so my wife and I agreed to take one. Jasper turned 2 in February of 2025 and is a Dane, Lab, Boxer, Pit mix. We would like him to go to a loving home where he can get out and run around. He is fairly high-energy but well mannered and only barks when visitors come in, is leash and house trained. We are looking for a new home for him because our young children are intimidated by his high energy and haven't been able to get comfortable around him. Because of this, he has to spend most of his time in an indoor kennel and we want him to have a better living experience. He had a reaction to natural skin flora as a puppy, but itching is well managed with with BioHex shampoo which we would include with him.
