Story
Mucho Grande — Small Dog, Huge Heart!  When Mucho Grande first arrived at Manhattan ACC, his tiny body trembled with fear. Labeled “New Hope Only” for growling and snapping, this little 15-pound pup was simply terrified — a world that hadn’t shown him kindness left him unsure who to trust.  But thanks to love, patience, and a caring foster home in Binghamton, Mucho’s story is turning into one of hope. Bit by bit, he’s letting his walls down — trading fear for tail wags, and learning that gentle hands mean comfort, not harm.  Now just over 2 years old, Mucho Grande is blossoming into a sweet, loyal companion who just needs the right person to help him keep believing in the good. Once he knows you’re a friend, his heart opens wide — full of affection, devotion, and the cutest little snuggles you could imagine.  Mucho’s Perfect Home:  Best with dogs his own size (big pups can be a little scary)  Cat-friendly!  Best with older kids (15+)  Needs a patient, gentle person who understands that trust takes time Mucho may be small, but his heart is mighty — and he’s ready to find his forever person who will love him just as he is. Story
Autumn is a small, affectionate 7 year old dog. My stepmother took her in years ago, after her mother pressured her heavily to take her in and threatened to dump her outside. Unfortunately, my family is not financially, experience-wise, or time-wise able to care for her and have finally come to terms with this recently. She needs potty training but is not aggressive or destructive. She is spayed, and has no known health issues but has recently had irritation and hair loss on her backside which we cannot afford to take her to the vet for. She is very friendly with cats, not friendly with dogs as she has not been accustomed to them. Do not know how she handles young children but she is friendly and non-reactive. Is ok with men but peferes women and would be best with a woman as the adopter or in the home. The decision to rehome her is not made lightly as she is loved but we simply cannot care for her. Please only apply if you have the patience and love to give her a forever home!

Story
Meet Little Lady, a short, sweet, and delightfully silly standard dachshund mix who’s looking for a home to call her own in NY! This lovable girl came from TN and is ready to start her next chapter as someone’s loyal companion. Little Lady enjoys going for walks, jumps right up for hugs, and has a playful side—especially when toys are involved. She gets along well with other dogs, though she can be a little bossy at times, so a meet-and-greet would be best to make sure it’s a good match. When playtime is over, she’s all about cozy blankies and snuggling in. She can be intimidated by new people, but warms up fast with treats and slower moves. For this reason, she would do best with teens who can give some space when needed. With her charming personality and adorable nature, Little Lady would make a wonderful addition to your home.
