Ms Rutabaga, or Ruti for short, is vying to be your dog's new little sister. A lack of socialization in her early puppyhood means that Ruti is a couple steps behind her peers. However, she picks up a lot of confidence from her dog friends! She is still learning that people are pretty cool, but training and treats have gone a long way in that. She doesn't likely a dog that's going to be your best friend right away, but that's okay. Sometimes the best things come when we put a little bit of effort in, and meet our new friends where they're at. Like any puppy, expect to have to work on potty training, since she is still a baby. It also would be incredibly beneficial to continue training with her, potentially even doing a few classes to help build your bond and boost her confidence! Ruti is currently fostered in Salem, Oregon. Prospective homes should be in that area, or willing to meet and greet where Rutabaga is at.

Meet 🍆Aubergine🍆 *Geni* This little girl is a HOOT! She is VERY people focused once she makes friends. Food is definitely a win for her. While she is currently fostered with other dogs, she isn't dependent on them. She prefers her dog friends to move a little slower. Geni came to be my foster because she wasn't doing well in the shelter environment and needed some remedial socialization. Any future adopter should also consider that she might need some extra help with new things. Like any puppy, Aubergine is still working on her potty training. This will be an ongoing thing for any 16 week old puppy but particularly for puppies who may have lived in a shelter environment without consistency in potty breaks. Additionally, I highly recommend a puppy class together to help build the bond and show Ms. Geni how to be a canine good citizen. If you've got the patience for a puppy who might need a little more help than your average pup, Aubergine might be a good fit for you!

Story
Truffle (Tuff) a fun, sweet, and loyal dog who absolutely adores her people. Tuff is smart, affectionate, and loves being part of whatever is going on. She enjoys attention, is eager to engage with her family, and brings a lot of personality and joy to everyday life. She does great with kids and other animals. When she gets excited, she can be a little barky and jumpy, but she settles down once she has a chance to calm herself. We’re rehoming Tuff because, despite her many wonderful qualities, she is not safe living with our other dog, Arlo. She has gone after him multiple times and has injured him, so for everyone’s safety, she must be placed in a home without other dogs. This has been an incredibly difficult decision, but we love Tuff and want to find the right environment where she can be successful, happy, and safe. We’re hopeful there is a home out there that will appreciate what a special dog she is and give her the chance to shine.

Toven is a heart breaker!! He is such a loving dog, who was rescued locally from a very rough situation. He just adores his people. He looks at you with so much love and hope in his eyes. Toven is around 2 years old. We are guessing on his breed! He's kinda houndish looking. With the St. Bernard colors. He's a gentle, loving, adoring, sweetheart! Toven would prefer a calm home with someone who is home often. He gets very lonely when left alone for too long. All he wants is to be right next to you. He's playful and energetic. But also calm at home. Toven is shy, and rolls over on his back when he's scared. Men seem to scare him more than women. But, he does have guy friends who he trusts and loves. Toven does not like dogs. And will need a dog free home. Toven deserves a loving home. He has so much love to give. We are in love with this sweet boy!! Tovens adoption fee of $150 covers his neuter, recent vet check, microchip, current on all immunizations, food, collar, leash, and a lifetime of support. Mercedes is a two year old, 4.5 lb. darling terrier mix who was abandon in So. CA and is in Springfield/Eugene in our wonderful foster home. Mercedes is the most loving little dog that has been praying for her people to find her. She will be the best companion ever once she learns to trust you. She is great on car rides and is learning to walk on a leash. Mercedes will only be placed in a home where her people are home more often than not. Our foster people will visit your home to make sure your yard and the surroundings are safe.
