Story
It breaks my heart to rehome my 9-year-old purebred Newfoundland due to major life changes. He’s the sweetest, calmest, most affectionate “dry-mouth” Newfie—great with all people and dogs, and happiest lounging near his humans. He has hip dysplasia and limited mobility (had ACL surgery at age 3), so he needs a calm, single-level home familiar with senior or large-breed dogs. He loves companionship more than activity and spends most of the day resting. I’m rehoming him due to a divorce, layoffs, and needing to move into housing that can’t accommodate a giant breed. He deserves more stability and care than I can currently provide. He is incredibly loving, gentle, and loyal. If you or someone you know might be a great fit, please reach out. Meet Dogbert!🏡🐶This sweet, handsome senior may be in his golden years, but he still has plenty of love (and a little energy!) to share. He takes his time settling into new places, but once he feels safe, he'll lean in for gentle head and belly scratches, his slow tail wag saying, "I trust you." Dogbert is a calm, affectionate gentleman who loves lounging in the yard, cozy naps, tasty treats, and snuggles with his favorite human. He's wonderful with people and kids, polite, and a great listener-always waiting for an "okay" before heading outside and coming right back when called.He prefers to be the only dog in the home so he can soak up all the attention.
