Meet Moose (he doesn't respond to the name Superman at all). According to his DNA results, he is 35% St Bernard, 18% Labrador Retriever, 13% Siberian Husky and very small percentages of 11 other breeds. Moose is an affectionate, smart, and calm dog believed to be 6-7 years old. He's hoping to find a stable and loving home, where he can relax and serve as the devoted big teddy bear that he is, having had a complicated journey with conflicting narratives...He first arrived at Big Bones in 2024, actually, having made the trip from Texas to Colorado to start a new life. He was a sweet boy and soon adopted into what seemed to be a good situation. As far as we knew, everything was going well for him since that time. In February 2026, Big Bones was contacted by a dog shelter in Denver that scanned his microchip linking him to our rescue. We don't know what the circumstances were that led to his family needing to surrender him, but Moose is safe in a foster home, he is good with people and dogs, his foster Mom has a 22# Male dog and a 55# Female Black Lab and they all get along just fine. He sleeps in the doorway to the bedroom and watches over all of us. He is ready for a real forever home!! Please come meet this big sweet boy today! He is waiting for you in Berthoud, CO!💜🐾

Teddy, Australian Shepherd/Newfoundland mix, 2 yr., 57 lbs., Teddy is friendly, happy, energetic and ready for an active life. He needs someone willing to work with him. Teddy loves water and plays in his pool. We are working on leash training and sitting on command. He’s smart and anxious to learn. He loves other dogs and wants to play hard but is also respectful of them. He’s got long thick hair so he will need professional grooming several times a year. Teddy must have a home with another young dog about his size and someone home most of the time. No cats. Teddy was a stray and extremely thin. Meet Snow 🤍 Snow is a beautiful Pyrenees mix, estimated to be around 1–3 years old, currently being fostered in Fort Collins. She weighs about 80 lbs and is still filling out after arriving in Colorado very underweight with her sister. She has come such a long way and is truly blossoming. Snow is shy at first, but once she feels safe, she absolutely loves affection. She has the softest eyes and the sweetest soul. Every day she grows more confident and is learning how good it feels to be loved. She loves other dogs and would likely thrive with a confident canine buddy, though it’s not required. She is kennel trained, doggy door trained, naps and sleeps through the night in her kennel. She feels very safe in her kennel so the foster mom would want an adopter that is willing to continue to let her kennel. She is food motivated, which makes building trust with her much easier. Leash walking still makes her nervous, though she does well walking on leash around the fosters 7-acre property. Because of this, she needs a quiet home with a fenced yard (preferably a 6-foot fence). She would likely do well with older, calm children and possibly cats with slow introductions. Snow is being fostered with a professional trainer who specializes in helping shy dogs build confidence. A free training session will be provided to her adopter to help ensure a smooth transition and continued progress. She has already come so far — now she just needs a patient, loving home to call her own 🤍 Please reach out if you’re interested in giving Snow the safe, peaceful life she deserves
