Moose is a sweet, goofy 2.5-year-old dog with a big heart and lots of love to give. After a tough start in life, he’s proven to be incredibly resilient and is now ready for his forever home. He’s very food-motivated, making him highly trainable, and he loves staying active with runs and games of fetch. Moose is great with people, does well with older kids, and even gets along with cats.He’s made great progress on leash but can still be a bit reactive around other dogs, so continued training will help him keep improving. Moose may do best as the only dog or with a calm, submissive companion. He’s also a known counter surfer, so a home that can manage food boundaries is important.Moose is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, recently had a clean bill of health, and comes with a year of heartworm prevention. He’s ready to bring joy, loyalty, and plenty of laughs to his new home.

Tana is a 4 month old Great Pyrenees mix pup. She is shy with people, but is loving once she trusts you. She adores being petted and kissed on the head and she also knows sit and leave it (for the most part). She enjoys watching other dogs chase balls and she runs behind them joyfully. She truly loves playing with her sister in the yard and is quite fond of her foster mom. Tana is quiet unless she needs out of her crate at night to go potty. She enjoys chew rings, chew toys to destroy, chewing twigs and your shoes, lol. She is lovely to look at and she will sit right beside you or between your legs. She does not do well in heat so prefers indoors where its cool. She deserves a loving home. Come see her in Aurora! Please research the breed if you've never had one, they do have needs that other breeds don't.

Rain is a beautiful Pyrenees mix and is believed to be approximately 1-3 years old. She is very shy at first but loves affection once she feels safe with you, she is absolutely adorable and her eyes will melt your heart! She weighs approximately 80 lbs and still needs to put on a few more pounds to be at a healthy weight. Rain came to Colorado with her sister Snow, they were both very underweight. They are thriving at their foster mom's house and are putting on weight and getting healthy and strong and are ready to be loved! We don't know much about her history but we can tell she was never socialized. Every day she gets more confident and would love to have a home of her own and someone to love her unconditionally and continue to teach her how good it is to be loved! Rain loves to play with other dogs so she will probably do best with a confident canine buddy in her future home but is not completely necessary if an adopter has lots of love to share with her. Rain loves her kennel and feels very safe in it. She sleeps through the night and naps in it during the day. She also loves food so it is easy to work with her to gain her trust. This beautiful girl is waiting patiently to find her FurEver Family and is currently being fostered with one of our dog trainers that specializes and rehabilitates shy or unsocialized dogs. Her foster mom has an amazing rehabilitation protocol to help these precious dogs and is working with all the dogs in her care on potty training, socializing with dogs and humans, kennel training, doggie door training and if time permits, leash and car training. Probably the thing Rain will need the most patience with is learning to walk on a leash. Currently it scares her but her foster mom is trying to help her with that. Since leash walking makes her nervous she will need a home with a fenced yard. There are lots of other dogs at her foster mom's house so we know she is dog friendly. Her foster doesn't have any cats but thinks she would be fine with them if introduced slowly and properly. We also think she would be fine with older / calm children. Please consider this adorable dog as a part of your family. She deserves all the kindness and will give you a lifetime of affection. Her foster mom is located in Fort Collins Colorado and wants to find a patient adopter, who is willing to do a minimum of one paid (discounted) training session with her. This training session is NOT basic obedience, but instead, is designed for rescue dogs and teaches the adopter how to work to build the dogs confidence and overcome any trauma the dog may have experienced. This training is to teach the adopter how to help the dog be successful in their new home and will help the family and this sweet dog bond and adjust to their new life together. Meet Moose (he doesn't respond to the name Superman at all). According to his DNA results, he is 35% St Bernard, 18% Labrador Retriever, 13% Siberian Husky and very small percentages of 11 other breeds. Moose is an affectionate, smart, and calm dog believed to be 6-7 years old. He's hoping to find a stable and loving home, where he can relax and serve as the devoted big teddy bear that he is, having had a complicated journey with conflicting narratives...He first arrived at Big Bones in 2024, actually, having made the trip from Texas to Colorado to start a new life. He was a sweet boy and soon adopted into what seemed to be a good situation. As far as we knew, everything was going well for him since that time. In February 2026, Big Bones was contacted by a dog shelter in Denver that scanned his microchip linking him to our rescue. We don't know what the circumstances were that led to his family needing to surrender him, but Moose is safe in a foster home, he is good with people and dogs, his foster Mom has a 22# Male dog and a 55# Female Black Lab and they all get along just fine. He sleeps in the doorway to the bedroom and watches over all of us. He is ready for a real forever home!! Please come meet this big sweet boy today! He is waiting for you in Berthoud, CO!💜🐾
