Story
Oreo is the perfect example of a great family dog! This 76-pound lap dog will snuggle her way into your heart in no time. She is an incredibly sweet and gentle 4-year-old Great Pyrenees/Pitbull mix (along with a few other things) and has the best temperament you could ask for. She is very friendly and happy to chill next to you (or in your lap) all day, but she will also jump at the chance to go on an adventure or play with another dog at their pace (although another dog in the house isn't a requirement). She is also a big cuddle bug and great with kids of all ages. Her 5-year-old human foster brother absolutely ADORES her and loves snuggling with her on the couch. Oreo is house trained (no marking), can use a doggy door with no issues, knows some basic commands, and walks pretty well on a leash (but can get a bit too excited about something she can chase, so she needs someone ready to handle that until fully trained). She is crate trained but isn't a fan of being in the crate with the door closed. She hasn't met any cats yet. Oreo is as loyal as you could ask for, which makes it particularly sad that through no fault of her own, she was returned to BBCR because of a divorce. She is currently being fostered in Erie and is very ready to find her actual furever home. So if you want to feel just how velvety soft her ears are, apply with BBCR today so you can meet this incredibly sweet love bug.

Story
My dogs name is Bodie. He is a wonderful family pet. He is almost 6 years old. Ive had him since he is one. Smartest dog I've ever had. My outdoor adventure buddy. Great with my 10-year-old daughter. Very well trained. Can be in or out of a crate. No bathroom issues. No barking issues. Good with other pets and people. He needs a financially stable family that can give him the veterinary care he needs. Immediately, he needs bladder stone surgery. In addition, within the past year he developed a disc issue that causes back hind leg weakness. He is on medication. We have been to the neurologist. If financially able, the neurologist said this issue is fixable. But he can also live with it, with special care. The vet bills have become too much over the past 6 months figuring out his issues. And now I can't afford to fix them. Breaks my heart. But he deserves a good home, that can financially help him be the great adventurous dog he is.

Story
Meet our fluffy bundle of energy! This Great Pyrenees mix is a bit shy at first, but once she warms up to you, get ready for non-stop fun. She is always the first to greet you in the morning with a wagging tail and a big smile. This pup has a lot of energy to burn and would love a family who can keep up with her playful antics. However, she does not get along well with small animals due to their strong prey drive. She would be most comfortable in a home with kids who are over 7 years old, where she can be the center of attention and receive all the love and playtime she craves. If you're looking for a loyal and energetic companion, look no further than this adorable Great Pyrenees mix!

Story
I know what you’re thinking, “Oh look at that adorable St. Bernard mix!” We thought that too. Turns out, zip, zero, zilch, not even a tiny trace. Juno is a unique combination of working dogs (Pyrenees, GSD, Cattle Dog) and America’s best pets (Labrador & pittie). She’s 71 lbs, 3 years old, house trained, and refining her leash walking skills. Juno is smart. Her pastimes include food puzzles, toys, walks, running around the yard, and on weekends hitting up the chess tournaments and NY Times crossword puzzles (this has got to be the GSD in her). No lie. Some of her other breed characteristics run deep, cue Pyrenees, so a large fenced in yard is a must. She’s an alerter (also thank you Pyrenees) and will alert her family to the happenings all around when she’s out and about and on patrol. She’s dog friendly but plays a little too rough with little dogs (ah hem, cattle dog makes an appearance) so is likely best suited with a large playful, goofy male dog. Juno loves her people and is ultra snuggly (ah, there are America’s sweethearts the pittie and the lab) , yet thrives on structure and routine and knowing what the expectations of her are. She’s eager to learn, food motivated, and I’ll say it again, smart. We prefer a home with older kiddos. Juno is in foster in Boulder, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/juno-3. Story
Meet Watson! This stunning, big boy is approx 80 lbs and he’s looking for a home. We think Watson is likely a Pyrenees/pittie mix, but we really can’t be sure. He’s around 3 years old. Watson came to MHCR from Roswell, NM. Despite his giant melon head, we’re 99% sure he’s man’s best friend and not an out-of-this-world alien life form. Watson is good with most other dogs. He’s house trained, rides well in the car, and is crate trained (although he’s not a giant fan of it). His foster mom says he’s the best dog she’s ever fostered! Watson is working on his leash walking skills – he’s a bit of a puller – but he’s learning very quickly! He’s in foster with older kiddos and is doing very well with them. Watson would prefer a home that’s not in the middle of a busy city. He’s more of a quiet suburb kind of guy. Watson is in foster in Fort Lupton, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/watson-2. Story
Big, lovable, playful, Archie! Archie is approximately 2-3 years old and we believe he’s a Great Pyrenees mix. Archie has long legs which make him quite impressive in person! Archie LOVES dog friends. He loves walks and toys, and did we mention dog friends? Archie will do well in a home with a large fenced in yard, active humans, and a dog or two to pal around with. He’s crate trained and has done stellar on his house training at his foster’s home. Archie is very smart and food motivated so training is a breeze. Archie is in foster in Thornton, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/archie/. Story
Reece is a Bernese Mountain Dog. Reece will need a dog-savvy home. Although she is almost 3 years old, many things are new to Reece. She was with a breeder and was very sheltered for the first few years of her life. She does like her dog friends! In her free-time, Reece enjoys Kongs with peanut butter, counter surfing, and stealing tennis shoes. As she gets comfortable, she will gain more confidence. She will want to be part of the family. Reece is most comfortable with older kids (teenagers). Priority will be given to applicants who will be around the home most of the day and those who have a playful dog with a yard.
