🐈🐱 Cat-friendly 🐱🐈 Looking for the very bestest boy? 🤵 🫅 Here I am, it’s me, Otto! 👋 I am a 9-year-old male Newfoundland. I came into rescue because I was abandoned outside and was in rough shape. With the help of some human friends, I got a spa day 🛀, and look at me now 🤴 I am super chill and calm 🫶. I am great with other dogs and cats. I am terrific with kids, which is in character for my Newfie breed. 🐶 🧸 I love, love, love to lay on the deck when the weather is nice 🌤️ 🌻 😎 I am relatively quiet, but I will bark when my dog family starts to bark. I stop, though, as soon as my foster parents say “no.” I love belly rubs, ahhh, and my treats, yummm.🥓 And I’m in heaven if I can sleep in front of a fan 🌬️ My foster mom has taken such good care of me. Due to my age, I need some simple daily care (maybe you can relate?) to be at my tip-top best. 🧴 🏅 I have dry eye, so I need daily eye cleanings and twice-daily drops, which I am an angel for 😇. I do just fine with stairs, though I have some joint issues, like every senior giant-breed dog. Foster mom has put me on a combination of joint supplements and fish oil, which makes me more comfortable. I might have low vision in the dark, so give me a nightlight and we’re all good. I do have a mass on my lower palate, but don't worry... I can chew on my chews and l have no problems eating. Because of my age, the vet recommends against neuter surgery – so I will come not neutered, but I don't have the energy to do anything like that anyway. 🤫 I really am the best and I look forward to meeting you! Otto the Great 💪 Otto is house-trained, vaccinated, and will come to you current on heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. His adoption fee is $175. If you love a big guy with some chill vibes, he’s your man. Get approved to adopt so you can meet him. 🐕Apply to adopt at PawsitiveTailsKC.org🐕

Story
Requires several intros, but worth every minute of your time. Once you build a connection with him he is the biggest cuddly marshmallow. He is estimated to be approximately 7 years young and still has so much energy and love to give. He walks wonderfully on a leash and loves a cold day for an adventure. If you're looking for a truly loyal companion Bernie would be your guy. He is up to date on all medical vaccinations and is neutered.

Story
We adopted Gracie in 2024 but she was on her own before that. As a result, she can be a bit anxious, but we’ve made a lot of progress. Unfortunately, our life situation is changing, and we will no longer be able to give her the care and attention she deserves. While initially reserved, Gracie is a sweet, loving dog once she gets to know you. She can be quite playful, although she’s usually content to relax around the house. She sometimes reacts to triggers like sudden loud noises and is protective of the household. She’s an effective watchdog. She has had one minor bite incident that broke skin (no medical attention needed), but the majority of the time her anxiety is very manageable. She is currently in training and is progressing very well! Her ideal situation would be as a solo pet in a quiet home with adults only or possibly older children who are willing to continue her training. She is potty trained, sleeps in her crate at night, and walks great on a leash. A great companion

Story
Are you looking for a laid-back companion who already knows doggie manners and is content to be by your side? Then look no further than this beautiful gal, Heidi! Heidi is an almost 11-year-old Great Pyrenees/Husky mix who weighs around 92 pounds. She is a sweet, quiet girl who is looking for a home that matches her energy level. Here are some great qualities Heidi brings to the table: 🩷House Trained 🩷Crate trained 🩷Walks well on a leash 🩷Good with older, respectful kids Heidi has a lower energy level but loves to chew on bones. Heidi would prefer to be an only dog or to live in a home with another low-energy dog who respects her space. She is dog selective and would need to meet any other dogs living in the home to ensure a proper match. While Heidi walks well on a leash, she prefers a fenced backyard to do her business. If you are interested in this golden girl👵, apply to meet her. Her adoption fee is $100 and includes her spay, microchip, vaccinations, and flea/tick/heartworm preventatives. Meet-and-greets can be set up with approved adopters. 🐕Apply to adopt at PawsitiveTailsKC.org🐕
