Story
We have had our sweet Tutter since she was an 8 week old puppy. She is a very outgoing and playful dog who needs attention and stimulation. When we got her we selected her breed for their calm, couch potato demeanor but Tutter is nothing like that. She wants to run and romp and unfortunately we do not have the time or space to meet her needs. Her current home has another senior dog, two cats, and a toddler all of whom she gets along with without issue. We truly love and and just want to see her in a home where she can thrive.

Story
✨Meet Brownie!✨ Brownie is a Newfoundland who came into us as a surrender from a commercial breeding facility (aka Puppy Mill) in Lancaster County. We are confident he will make a wonderful family member for a very lucky family, who understands his past and gives him the time he needs to trust them and his new surroundings. Brownie loves other animals, and will thrive in a home with at least one other dog. Adopting a puppy mill survivor is life-changing—for you and them. For these dogs, everything is new and often overwhelming: people, houses, stairs, leashes, food bowls, collars, toys, TVs, ovens, doorways, pavement…the list goes on. They need adopters who can move slowly, be patient, keep expectations reasonable, and provide the understanding and tools they need to grow into happy, confident companions. Patience, positive reinforcement, and understanding are key! We promise there is nothing that compares to gaining the love and trust of a puppy mill survivor, but it requires intentional effort and commitment from their new family. With the right guidance, puppy mill survivors can blossom into well-socialized, joyful dog- so our goal is always to ensure every adopter is fully prepared to give them the life and environment they need to truly thrive! Story
Onyx’s story is one of resilience, survival, and finally getting the chance to just be a dog. When Onyx first came to us after he was minutes away from being euthanized at a local shelter, he was incredibly sick with pneumonia and facing serious medical challenges. He underwent multiple surgeries, emergency vet visits, and long recovery times. For so long, Onyx never had the opportunity to simply enjoy life because he was too busy fighting to feel better. But Onyx never gave up — and neither did we. Today, after being loved back to health, Onyx is thriving and embracing every moment of the happy, healthy life he always deserved. He loves to run, play, cuddle, and soak up affection from everyone around him. He’s incredibly friendly, affectionate, and full of goofy personality. One of his cutest quirks is his signature “kangaroo jumps,” so he’ll need a securely fenced yard with a high fence because this boy can bounce. Onyx is hard of hearing and has only one ear due to the double TECA surgeries he underwent. Even so, he works incredibly hard to learn routines and follow commands. He does best with loud verbal cues and hand signals to help guide him. Despite everything he’s endured, Onyx remains deeply trusting, loving, and eager to connect with people. He is dog-friendly, cat-friendly, kid-friendly, and truly loves everyone he meets. He’s also extremely food motivated and will happily do just about anything for a treat. Onyx has overcome more than most dogs ever should. Now, all he needs is a forever family willing to love this resilient, goofy, affectionate boy exactly as he is.
