Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.*** Check Out My Video Album Below! *** Are you looking for a sweet, friendly, eager-to-join-in-any-fun companion? Milo the Pyr/Husky mix may be the pyrfect boy for you. Milo's cuteness is seriously over-the-top, and he brings his A-game to every interaction, every chance he gets. If you are bored with muttering to yourself with no response, Milo will happily chime in and give you his opinion! In fact, the second thing on Milo's wish list is to have his own radio show for all things pup-related. What is the first thing on Milo's wish list, you ask? - His very own furever family, of course! This playful boy has the most delightful pyrsonality, and he will thrive in a home where he is engaged in every aspect of the household. Milo would also love it if his furever people are willing to teach him all kinds of tricks, because he is VERY EAGER to learn and show off his skills. He is already crate trained and knows “sit,” and “down.” He gets along with both male and female dogs of all sizes, from the tiniest Mini Dachshund to the biggest Great Pyrenees! Milo’s ideal home will have a big, 6-foot fenced-in yard (don’t worry, he doesn’t dig!), and an active family that has Husky experience. He’d be happy with or without other canine companions. What say you? Are you ready to give this handsome boy his very own furever home? National Great Pyrenees Rescue (NGPR) has been rescuing and adopting out Great Pyrenees since 2006. Our relationship doesn’t end with adoption, as we continue to support adopters throughout the lifetime of their dog. Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority. January 6, 2026, 1:34 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.*** Check Out My Video Album Below! *** Max is a big mush who will brighten your life with his smiles and big paws. He's a sweet guy who's eager to please. With medium energy, he enjoys a day full of attention from his people, and many naps. He’s good with female dogs - he’d adore having a lady Pyr in his furever home! He knows "sit" and is more than willing to do so at your command - just watch his videos! Max is a very smart pup and a little training will go a long way to making him the perfect Pyr companion. Max is housebroken and learning to walk on leash. This pup is good-natured and happy to oblige your commands, but having treats on hand will make him sit faster. He prefers to be inside, and is a cuddle-bug who will hang on your every word. He’s a breeze to groom, as he loves being brushed (it’s just more attention, after all!). Max’s ideal home will be in a quieter setting, have a 6-foot fence, a female Pyr to pal around with, and strong, loving leadership from people who are experienced in working with large, intelligent breeds - he needs a dog/Pyr-savvy human to provide him structure and routine. Fill out our online application below if you'd like us to arrange a meeting with Max!
