Story
Marty is a striking brindle and white puppy with vivid white feet. He was born December 21. 2023. Marty and his siblings came to HART from a shelter in Kentucky. The folks dropping them off said that the mother is part Newfoundland, however, they do not have long hair like Newfoundland. They are going to be large dogs, Marty weighs 25 pounds at 13 weeks old and has large feet. It is very difficult to estimate adult weight, but could be 80 pounds. They are all in excellent health. Marty is a confident, fun loving pup. He likes children, adults, and other dogs. He enjoys playing tug of war and keep away as well as wrestling with his siblings. He has been exposed to 5 adult larger dogs during play dates 5 days a week and does well. He warms up to other dogs fast and likes to play with them. Marty likes to have his belly rubbed, and will randomly lays down with his legs sticking up for a quick rub. He also loves to lay on you lap while you watch TV, and he hugs, or presses his snout against your cheek or neck instead of licking you. He is an affectionate pup. He rides well in the car. Walks on a lead, but needs additional training. Marty is crate trained, and house training is going great, He is completely reliable when he has access to outside ( Foster has a dogging door). I have left him for 2-3 hours in the gated kitchen without accidents. The cold weather didn’t deter him from going outside. He loved the snow and was ok with med-light rain, but he didn’t appreciate the windy heavy rain. Marty is a laid back pup, his activity level is about average, plays for an hour or 2 and then rest/sleeps and hour or 2 as most puppies. He sleeps through the night in his crate (9:30 to 6:00) without protest, if he hears stirring near 6 he’ll start making noise to go out. He enjoys chew toys, tug-of-war, chewing on sticks, and playing with other dogs. He is highly food motivated, so training should be easy. Marty would do best with a fenced yard, as he loves to wonder around stiffing and playing in the flower beds or anything he can find. If you think Marty could be a good fit, submit an application and the foster will bring him to your house for a visit. All HART dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vaccines, including bordatella and rabies. They are heartworm tested and on preventative for heartworm, fleas, and ticks. If you are interested in any of our pets, you must complete an online dog adoption application at www.rescueAhart.org . The application will put you in touch with this wonderful dog's foster family so you can schedule a meeting. Thanks! www.rescueAhart.org

PLEASE NOTE! WE ARE A TEXAS BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY IN TEXAS AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO YOUR STATE ONCE ADOPTED. Our app can be found at haydudeequine.org Meet Whiskey Meet Whiskey, a handsome Lab/Great Pyrenees mix born in December 2024 and weighing around 50 pounds. This sweet boy has spent his whole life as a guard and working dog, but now he's ready to hang up his work hat and discover how wonderful it is to simply be a normal, loved pup. Whiskey is a total sweetheart who is gentle, affectionate, and wonderful with people and kids. He's also incredibly social and has done great with all kinds of animals—including goats, chickens, cows, horses, cats, and other dogs. Talk about an all-around good boy! After spending his life looking out for everyone else, Whiskey would love nothing more than to retire into a family where he can soak up lots of love, play, relax, and enjoy being part of the family. He'd especially enjoy having a doggie or kitty friend to keep him company and share some fun with. Whiskey has so much love to give and is ready for the next chapter of his life—one filled with belly rubs instead of guard duty, playtime instead of work, and a family of his very own. If you're looking for a gentle, sweet, people-loving companion who gets along with just about everyone, Whiskey could be your perfect match!

Story
❤️ Meet Jarvis — A Survivor With a Heart of Gold 🐾 Please note that we are a foster based rescue in TX. All of our dogs reside in foster homes in TX. We transport them to new states once adopted. **ALL ADOPTERS MUST BE 21+.** Our app can be found at **haydudeequine.org** Hi, I’m **Jarvis**, and I’m living proof that having a rough start doesn’t have to define your story. ❤️ I’m a **distemper survivor**, and before coming into rescue, I was found as a stray with an absolutely unbelievable group—**18 puppies and two female Great Pyrenees!** We have no idea exactly how I ended up there, but somehow we all found our way to safety. And now? I’m ready for my happily-ever-after. My humans call me a **special needs boy**, but honestly, I think I’m pretty darn normal. I walk just fine on a leash, eat like a champ, and get around without any trouble. I do have one little reminder from my distemper battle: I have a **permanent tic in my back legs that you can see when I’m sitting or lying down**. My legs don't wobble, and it doesn't prevent me from walking or enjoying life—it’s simply a little involuntary movement that I’ll have forever. Basically, my legs occasionally decide to do their own little dance. 💃🐾 And I say, **let them dance!** Because I have places to go, people to love, and treats to investigate. Speaking of people… **I LOVE PEOPLE.** ❤️ I am an absolute sweetheart and genuinely enjoy being around humans. If you sit down, there is a very good chance I will come over to say hello. If you offer affection, even better. If you have treats? Well, congratulations. We are now best friends. I’m also **good with other dogs**, so I’m perfectly happy sharing my world with some canine friends. What I really need is someone who can see past my little tic and recognize the amazing dog underneath. I don't need anyone to feel sorry for me. I need someone who understands that sometimes special dogs come with a few extra quirks—and those quirks are often what make them even more lovable. I survived distemper. I survived life as a stray. And after everything I've been through, I’m still a **happy, affectionate, people-loving boy.** That’s pretty special. Now I’m looking for my forever person—someone who will give me a soft place to sleep, a hand to hold, plenty of love, and maybe a few extra treats for being such a good boy. **My legs may have a little rhythm of their own, but my heart is perfectly steady.** ❤️ I’m Jarvis. I’m a survivor, a sweetheart, and I’m ready to be somebody’s very best friend. 🐾

Story
Please note that this dog is currently located in TX and will be transported once adopted. Our application can be found at haydudeequine.org. ❄️ Meet Snow White! ❄️ 12-week-old Purebred Great Pyrenees Mirror, mirror on the wall… who is the fluffiest of them all? 🤍 Snow White! And she would like to formally apologize to every mirror in the house because she intends to become a VERY BIG girl. 😂 At just 12 weeks old, Snow White is already a gorgeous little Great Pyrenees fluff ball with a personality as sweet as her name. She’s happy, playful, curious, and absolutely convinced that the world was created for her to explore. She LOVES the water 💦, enjoys going on walks, and thinks sticks are basically nature’s version of puppy toys. If there is something interesting to investigate, Snow White will be there. If there is a puddle nearby, she will probably be in it. And if there’s a stick? Well… obviously that stick belongs to Snow White. She’s great with other dogs, is crate trained, and is doing really well with her house-training. She’s still a baby, of course, so she’ll need a family ready for all the fun, fluff, and puppy shenanigans that come with raising a future giant. And make no mistake—this little girl is going to be BIG. Her current size is basically a preview trailer for the enormous, beautiful Great Pyrenees she’s destined to become. ☁️🐾 Snow White is looking for a forever family who will give her plenty of love, adventures, room to grow, and preferably access to water. Because apparently being a Great Pyrenees is thirsty work. 💦😂 Sweet face. Giant paws. Endless fluff. Huge heart. And yes… she absolutely expects to be treated like the princess she is. 👑🤍
