Story
Marty is a striking brindle and white puppy with vivid white feet. He was born December 21. 2023. Marty and his siblings came to HART from a shelter in Kentucky. The folks dropping them off said that the mother is part Newfoundland, however, they do not have long hair like Newfoundland. They are going to be large dogs, Marty weighs 25 pounds at 13 weeks old and has large feet. It is very difficult to estimate adult weight, but could be 80 pounds. They are all in excellent health. Marty is a confident, fun loving pup. He likes children, adults, and other dogs. He enjoys playing tug of war and keep away as well as wrestling with his siblings. He has been exposed to 5 adult larger dogs during play dates 5 days a week and does well. He warms up to other dogs fast and likes to play with them. Marty likes to have his belly rubbed, and will randomly lays down with his legs sticking up for a quick rub. He also loves to lay on you lap while you watch TV, and he hugs, or presses his snout against your cheek or neck instead of licking you. He is an affectionate pup. He rides well in the car. Walks on a lead, but needs additional training. Marty is crate trained, and house training is going great, He is completely reliable when he has access to outside ( Foster has a dogging door). I have left him for 2-3 hours in the gated kitchen without accidents. The cold weather didn’t deter him from going outside. He loved the snow and was ok with med-light rain, but he didn’t appreciate the windy heavy rain. Marty is a laid back pup, his activity level is about average, plays for an hour or 2 and then rest/sleeps and hour or 2 as most puppies. He sleeps through the night in his crate (9:30 to 6:00) without protest, if he hears stirring near 6 he’ll start making noise to go out. He enjoys chew toys, tug-of-war, chewing on sticks, and playing with other dogs. He is highly food motivated, so training should be easy. Marty would do best with a fenced yard, as he loves to wonder around stiffing and playing in the flower beds or anything he can find. If you think Marty could be a good fit, submit an application and the foster will bring him to your house for a visit. All HART dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vaccines, including bordatella and rabies. They are heartworm tested and on preventative for heartworm, fleas, and ticks. If you are interested in any of our pets, you must complete an online dog adoption application at www.rescueAhart.org . The application will put you in touch with this wonderful dog's foster family so you can schedule a meeting. Thanks! www.rescueAhart.org

Story
Emily is a 2 year old, attention seeking goof. She is house and crate trained. Good listener but has a lot to say. She will pull your hand back and bark at you to make sure you don’t stop loving on her. She loves a good belly rub and booty scratch. She was adopted as a puppy from SAAP but I have gotten permission to surrender her though other resources. I am seeking an adoptee for Emily due to my lack of physical ability to provide her the exercise and quality of life she deserves. I’ve had a recent total hip replacement and have another planned in the near future. Here’s to hoping she finds a loving family with lots of attention and for her to enjoy. 🐾 🐾 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org ☁️🐾 Meet Fluffy — Cloud-Like Companion & Part-Time Mind Reader 🐾☁️ Hi, I’m Fluffy 💛 2 years old, 77 pounds, and yes… I am exactly as soft and magical as my name suggests. Think “majestic cloud,” but with better manners and a great personality. I’m a Great Pyrenees, which means I’ve got the whole package—beauty, brains, and a calm, steady presence. I’m the kind of girl who knows what’s going on… sometimes before you do. Honestly, I understand a lot of human words. Like… a LOT. Don’t say “walk,” “treat,” or “outside” unless you mean it 😁 Let me tell you what I bring to the table: - I walk beautifully on a leash (no sled-dog impersonations here) - I know how to sit—because I’m a lady - I’m crate trained and house trained (gold star student ⭐) - I use a doggie door like a pro - I’m great with other dogs—friendly and respectful - I pay very close attention to my humans (yes, I’m always watching… in a loving way 👀💛) I’ve got wonderful manners and a gentle, thoughtful personality. I’m not here to cause chaos—I’m here to elevate your life experience. My vibe? - Calm, loyal, observant… with just enough personality to keep things fun. I may not be bouncing off the walls, but I will absolutely follow you around to make sure everything is running smoothly. Quality control is important. I’m the kind of dog who: - Silently judges your snack choices (but still supports you) - Appears instantly when you even think about going outside - Makes your home feel calmer just by being in it - Will absolutely take up more couch space than you planned My dream home is one where I’m included, appreciated, and loved for the gentle, smart, slightly hilarious companion I am. I’d do great with a family or a person who wants a steady best friend who’s always tuned in. Apply today at haydudeequine.org if you’ve been looking for a loyal, well-mannered, fluffy shadow who might secretly understand full sentences!! ☁️🐾💛

Story
Meet Ghost, a 2-year-old, 91 lb Great Pyrenees with a big personality to match his size. He walks well on a leash—though he may pull at times, he settles in nicely with a confident handler. Ghost would do best in a fenced yard where he can roam and satisfy his love for exploring. True to his breed, Ghost will naturally become protective once he feels comfortable and understands his space. He does come when called (as much as a Pyrenees typically will!) and thrives on attention—especially head scratches. If he’s not getting enough, don’t be surprised when he reminds you with the classic “Pyr paw.” Ghost isn’t just a fluffy dog—he’s a big, cloud-like companion full of attitude, playfulness, and charm. He’s eager to learn, wants to please, and would make a wonderful match for someone who can give him purpose or simply plenty of time and companionship. At 91 pounds, he’s all heart, fluff, and a big voice to go with it. Ghost is fostered in the Cincinnati area. His adoption fee is $275.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
