WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Harley - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! My name is Harley and it comes from the Old English origin meaning 'Hare Meadow', which represents a peaceful and serene image. Just nothing like seeing a Pyr laying in the yard watching! Unfortunately my elderly owner is not able to care for me any longer but I'm trying not to let it get me down as I look for another family to adopt. Did you know that I came from royalty? The Pyrenees breed came from France where we made our way up from being a peasant farmers dog to the royal court being named the royal dog of France in 1675. Even Queen Victoria had a Pyr. We are strong willed and can sometimes be stubborn but more importantly we are affectionate, patient, confident, fearless and gentle. It is said that we wouldn't make a good breed for first timers but if you're aware of the negative traits (sometimes stubborn & lots of hair) along with the awesome good traits, we could definitely make it work. As a youngster at only around a year and a half old, I do have some basic obedience training, am well mannered, I don't jump up unless invited and have a sweet, loving warm nature that just adores getting 'good boys' from my people. I am a big boy of snowy white fluff. I will need several weekly brushings to keep my royal self tangle free and looking dapper and the vacuum will be an extension of your arm with me around but the reward of my adoring love for you will sooooo be worth it!! A couple of daily 45 minute walks a day should be enough to keep me happy. With that daily exercise in I can do quite well in town with a yard or in the country. I fall into the 3 G category which is Gorgeous, Gentle and Giant. Instinctively nurturing with the flock or family, we do make great family members. Just make sure the couch is big enough for sharing!!! My breed tend to love being with the family and are content to lay at or on your feet or curled up with you on that big enough couch. I'm here to adopt me a family and since you're reading this you must being missing something special in your life too, could it possibly be...ME?!!

Grits and determination!! That is the saying, right? To get anywhere you must have grits and determination?? Grits are good for you, ask any Southern mama :) You guessed it, my name is Grits and I have a LOT of determination! I came from the pound with HORRIFIC injuries related to a multiple dog attack :( And boy I was in pain and had horrible infections and was so so skinny and just sad... But the rescue peeps fixed me up! It took several weeks of LOVE, good nutrition, wound care and "heart repair" to return my zest for life and to see the glimmer of hope in my eyes... Now I am all fixed up, healthy and happy and READY for you!! Don't ever let me be out on the streets again, fighting off other dogs to live. Give me your COUCH, an air conditioner and lots of love and treats and I will be yours FUREVER!!! And speaking of fur, well, you know I am a Great Pyrenees and we SHED great amounts, so you must love me more than my hair!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Palomino is our graceful Great Pyrenees puppy, born around February 6, 2024. Weighing 21 pounds as of May 8, 2024, Palomino survived being stranded on the side of a rural road  with her parents, who tragically had ropes tied around their necks and were found deceased. Palomino and her siblings were desperately trying to nurse from their dead mother when they were rescued.  The puppies were split into three groups between three rescues due to the amount of care they required.  Unfortunately, all the puppies were extremely sick when they arrived at the rescue, and shortly after, they contracted parvo. Thanks to dedicated care and her fighting spirit, Palomino was one of three that survived.  Palomino is the leader of her pack.  She is very smart and loving.   Palomino is going to be about 75 pounds when fully grown.  They also have issues with extreme heat due to their coat.  The breed is also notorious fence climbers.   This pup is not being adopted to be a working dog living with livestock.  She wants to sign up for the AC living room.  Palomino still needs to learn how to walk on a leash and would thrive in a home that can provide the training and patience she needs. Her adoption fee is $300. If you're looking to add joy and companionship to your life, consider adopting Teddi. For more information or to arrange a meet-and-greet, please fill out an application at www.adoggie4you.org. Bring Palomino home and give her the loving family she deserves! This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 14, 2024, 9:53 am

So the rescue people named me Rascal, which is really not an accurate description of me!! I am SERIOUS :) I am not rascally, I am a pup but I am a good pup! I don't want to cause any drama in my new furever home, I PROMISE :) I have lived on the streets and I know that I don't ever want to be there again! I get my food/water/love/hope and plenty of fun in my rescue but I long for the same from a forever family. I don't think it is too much to ask, I mean look at my face my sweet and innocent face. It will show you that I am a wonderful boy whose "rascally" ways are far FAR behind me!! I am great with everyone, so hurry up and adopt me! Elmer, like the glue, you ask?? WELL MAYBE!!! I am a GREAT Great Pyrenees boy who had a rough looking life before I was saved in the rain, with big wounds on my face and front chest and legs :( Looked to the rescuers like I had been in a fight... So here I am, LIVING THE HIGH LIFE!!!! I am in a foster home with AIR CONDITIONING!!! And my foster momma and her momma love on me and keep me fed and happy :) I, of course, had heartworms when I was found. HOWEVER, those pesky worms are currently dying off and I am feeling better every day without those parasites!!! I am a couch surfer, have you ever tried to surf a couch?? NOT EASY but here I am, killing it!! (not the couch, the surfing life :) I am a big boy, about 95-100# when full grown- but GENTLE GIANT thoroughly describes me. I am easy going and happy and loving. As a late in life neutered male, I like the female dogs better than other males, unless they are submissive. And I am crate/house/everything trained already so you don't have to worry about that! ADOPT ME, I have SO MANY redeeming qualities... WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR??? Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Your search is over. Callie is the perfect dog! Callie is a delightful 4 year old 75 lb Bernese Mountain Dog. Rescued from a puppy mill, Callie's journey to her foster home has only made her more precious. With her striking beauty and gentle demeanor, Callie is simply the perfect dog. Despite her difficult start, Callie has blossomed into a well-mannered companion. She's mastered the art of potty training and is known for her rare barks and calm energy. Callie thrives on love and attention, eagerly seeking affection from everyone she meets. Her warm disposition extends to other dogs as well; she's great with her furry friends and enjoys their company. She goes up and down two stairs to go outside at her foster home, but has not mastered a flight of stairs yet and will need a patient home that will guide her if a flight of stairs are needed to go outside. Whether she's lounging by your side or exploring the outdoors, Callie's sweet nature and loving soul make her an irresistible member of our family. Her story reminds us of the resilience and joy that rescue dogs bring into our lives. Callie is currently being fostered in Cincinnati, OH. Her adoption fee is $450.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Meet Dj Smackers! Yes that is his name! This sweet Anatolian Shepherd mix is a little over 4 years old and is a big boy, so if you are looking for a gentle giant he's your dog. He came to us as a part of our shelter to shelter program, so we are still learning new things about him everyday! We are not sure at this time how he is with other dogs or with children, so we ask that any kids or dogs in the home be in attendance when meeting with Dj Smackers!
