Story
Meet Rosco! He is a sweet boy but can be a bossy one, though regardless he always has a lot to say! He needs a home that is active and can provide lots of stimulation. Rosco can be protective, or even territorial in a setting that has kids, so he would do best in child-free home. He is very excitable, and every person he greets can't help but smile at his precious scruffy face and wiggly tail. Rosco loves to go for walks with his favorite humans, but enjoys playing in the yards with his doggie friends just as much. We love Rosco and we are sure you will love him too! Apply to come and meet Rosco today!

Story
Adoption Pending. Furguson is about 4 years old and 16 lbs. He is a nice little dog who loves hanging out with you. He gets along with other dogs but doesn't want to play with them. He would love to be an only dog if you do not work a full workday and would need a canine companion for him if you do. Furgus is a people dog and gets along with men and women but he lights up when he sees a man. No young children should be in the home where he lives because he has no patience with them. He is a sweet and good-natured fellow who can also be very vocal when he wants and has much to say. A perfect day for him is a stroll through the backyard, walking, riding in the car, or just sitting in his bed next to you or on the chair where you sit. He is not interested in toys at all. Furgus sleeps all night in his bed and is house-trained. He is a loving dog who needs to be in a quiet home where he can let his hair down. We do not know how he would be with cats in the home. Furgus is being fostered in San Francisco. His adoption fee is $275.00. Please contact us for more info or an application to adopt at dogzonerescue@yahoo.com Arrangements to meet our dogs occur after an application has been received.

Story
Meet Willow — A Sweet, Sensitive Soul Ready to Bloom Willow is a 1.5-year-old, 10-pound white terrier mix with a heart full of love and a playful spirit just waiting to shine. Though timid at first and easily overwhelmed by busy or loud environments, once she feels safe and bonded, she blossoms into a snuggly, affectionate companion who will excitedly jump up for attention and melt into your arms. Her silly and confident side truly comes out when she's with other dogs — she absolutely thrives in the company of playful canine friends. Willow has a strong need to play and would do best in a home with a well-matched, active dog companion and a secure yard where they can run and romp together. She’s dog-door potty trained and enjoys the independence to go outside to play as she pleases. Willow also rides well in the car using a booster seat and walks nicely on leash, especially when she has another dog to follow. Because she can be fearful of children, Willow is best suited for an adult-only home. While she hasn’t lived with cats, we have no reason to believe she wouldn’t do fine with a calm feline friend. Willow will need an adopter who is experienced with nurturing shy or sensitive dogs. Patience, empathy, and positive reinforcement will be essential. A clear post-adoption transition plan tailored to her needs — including time to decompress, daily structure, mental enrichment, and continued socialization — will set her up for success. If you’re ready to earn the trust of a timid pup and watch her blossom into the joyful dog she’s meant to be, Willow may be your perfect match. To begin the adoption process, please submit an application using the link below. Our team will carefully review it to determine if you are a suitable match for the dog you are interested in. If deemed a good fit, the foster parent will reach out to schedule a meet-and-greet or seek additional information. In the event your application isn't accepted or might be a better fit for another dog, we will provide feedback and suggest alternative matches. Your application remains active for 90 days, allowing consideration for other dogs in our care. Simply email us if there is another dog you would like your application to be applied to.
