Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet. This is a funny little girl, she wants love so bad but she is kind of reserved about it.  She loves to cuddle with you yet she is independent.  You can trust her in the home alone without any destruction of bad actions.  I leave her out with my personal dogs while I am gone and she does not get into anything. There was already a great dog named Lady Bug in my group but she has been adopted already.  Someone thought that name would be a good name for this dog so I went with it. This LADY BUG II is just a bit over 1 year old and weighs 28 pounds.  She is a medium sized dog. LADY BUG II was found in the yard of some very good Samaritians who took her in and cared for her for more than a month thinking that maybe her owners lived in the area.  She was very shy when I met her but she just needed time to adjust and trust.  Now she runs around very happy and playful.  She plays with the other foster dogs and plays with toys when by herself. She is full of love and likes nothing better than receiving rubs and hugs while laying next to you.  The only thing she needs work on is leash walking, she needs a harness instead of the collar I have tried her with.  She loves rides in the car, she just takes in the view without getting sick.  LADY BUG II is pretty nosey too, always at the window or the storm door looking out.  She does not bark at people, she just likes to watch. LADY BUG II has a medium length hair coat but it only needs to be groomed about 1 every 5-6 months, not often.  She is fine with a bath. If you are interested in adopting LADY BUG II please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         June 26, 2025, 9:32 am

Story
Meet Samantha. Two years old. Fifteen pounds. Fast as lightning and soft as a cloud. Samantha is a Brussels Griffon–Border Terrier mix with a big personality packed into a small, scruffy body. She loves to run, really run, and will happily play fetch before proudly carrying her toys around like treasured prizes. When playtime ends, she flips the switch to full cuddle mode. This girl is a true Velcro dog. She sleeps straight through the night, usually upside down, as close to her person as she can possibly get. She is incredibly affectionate with both humans and other dogs and would be happiest with a canine friend to romp and snuggle with, though she could adjust to being an only dog with plenty of companionship. Samantha loves being near her people, but she settles easily in her crate and does well when left at home. She is comfortable, secure, and relaxed when crated. She has a wonderful balance of playful and chill. She enjoys running laps in the yard, zooming around at full speed, and then splooting out on the floor when she is ready to relax. It is impossible not to smile when you see her stretched out, completely content. Samantha is a medium-energy, affectionate, and entertaining little dog who would thrive in a home looking for a loyal companion, expert cuddler, and occasional comedy relief. If you are ready for a dog who will keep up with you during playtime and stick close during downtime, Samantha might be your perfect match. Story
Located in San Antonio Texas Meet Gerti the Border Terrier! She is our newest addition. She was found running the streets with her Dogo Argentino pal. The family that found them spent weeks trying to find their owners with no success. Gerti was not spayed and did not have a microchip. The good new is, she is now spayed, microchipped, and has had all her vaccines! The bad news is, she is heartworm positive. All though we are all very bummed about this she has a fabulous veterinarian that is taking care of her! She has started Gerti on her heartworm treatment protocol and says there is no reason why she can’t find a new home while she is undergoing treatment! Now we just need to find her that perfect place to call home! If you are interested in Gerti let us know.

Story
Winston is a real charmer! He wins the hearts of everyone he meets. He just showed up in a neighborhood looking for someone to love! After taking him to a vet clinic to be scanned for a microchip and posting him all over social media no owner came forward. Now Winston is looking for a new family. He seems to be extremely friendly with everyone he meets however we do not know how he would do with children. The doctor is guessing him to be about 7 - 8 years old. He seems to be house trained and has not been destructive in any way. He very much enjoys going for walks and likes to spend time outside. His biggest love is sitting in laps and giving kisses if he can get away with it! If you think Winston may be a match for you just let us know!
