Story
I am currently undergoing cancer treatments and have become unable to care for Sherlock at times. I would like to become him. He lives outdoors, he doesn't like to be confined in the home. He has access via doggie door, to a heated washroom. He does have cataracts and seems to have difficulty seeing at night. He does like affection. He tends to jump when excited, or simply runs around the yard.I will provide his medications to adopter.

Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.GYPSY is a bubbly social friendly girl who loves just hanging out and being involved with you.  She loves to ride in the car while she watches out the window.  This is a funny little girl and she really likes to be close to you.  She is only 3 years old and 8 pounds.  She will not get any bigger although she has been bigger because she was found extremely pregnant and she delivered 7 babies after 2 days of being in her foster home.  Her babies are very tiny and we expect them to be little scruffies just like their mom.  They will be available the 3rd week of January.  Of course we will update ourwebsite and Facebook page with their pictures. GYPSY was not interested in being a mother from the very beggining.  She just wanted to sit in my lap and enjoy the warm and love.  She does not stay stuck under you but she is close by all the time except when I accidentally close the door to a room and she did not run out fast enough! She does play with the other dogs and gets along with everyone fine but it would be okay with her if she was the only dog that way she could accompany you on all of your errands.  She walks very well on a leash, well behaved and easy to get along with and very little maintenance on a daily basis.  She may need to be groomed every 4-5 months just to keep her wild hair tamed.  She is a non-shedder and does not mind getting baths.  Please make sure your yard is secure or she will slip out through a hole that is big enough and she is a tiny little girl.  I will try to get some better pictures of her. If you are interested in adopting GYPSY please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         December 31, 2024, 6:54 am

Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet. This is a funny little girl, she wants love so bad but she is kind of reserved about it.  She loves to cuddle with you yet she is independent.  You can trust her in the home alone without any destruction of bad actions.  I leave her out with my personal dogs while I am gone and she does not get into anything. There was already a great dog named Lady Bug in my group but she has been adopted already.  Someone thought that name would be a good name for this dog so I went with it. This LADY BUG II is just a bit over 1 year old and weighs 28 pounds.  She is a medium sized dog. LADY BUG II was found in the yard of some very good Samaritians who took her in and cared for her for more than a month thinking that maybe her owners lived in the area.  She was very shy when I met her but she just needed time to adjust and trust.  Now she runs around very happy and playful.  She plays with the other foster dogs and plays with toys when by herself. She is full of love and likes nothing better than receiving rubs and hugs while laying next to you.  The only thing she needs work on is leash walking, she needs a harness instead of the collar I have tried her with.  She loves rides in the car, she just takes in the view without getting sick.  LADY BUG II is pretty nosey too, always at the window or the storm door looking out.  She does not bark at people, she just likes to watch. LADY BUG II has a medium length hair coat but it only needs to be groomed about 1 every 5-6 months, not often.  She is fine with a bath. Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet. This stout short & stocky guy reminds me of a heavy and strong TANK so that is what I named him.  He is 35 pounds and a medium-small dog that is 5 years old and just built sturdy and solid.  He has a bit of Shih Tzu in him with that Terrier.  Now his personality is just the opposite, he is sooooo well-mannered with a curious behavior.  He follows me around like a student waiting for me to guide him and teach him what to do.  TANK is mellow, very quiet and just goes with the flow.  He never bothers the other foster dogs and they do not bother him.  He is crate and potty trained, walks well on a leash and jumps right in the car ready to go wherever. This guy would be a great first dog or a dog for someone who is not that active because the daily maintenance on him is very low.  He does enjoy a leisurely walk though because he likes to sightsee. We know he is some type of terrier mix but not sure what kind and he will probably need to be groomed every 3-4 months to keep his pretty golden coat looking good. If you are interested in adopting TANK, please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.Meet TOM the terrier but he is not a terror.  TOM is actually a very well behaved and good boy.  He obeys right away, crate and potty trained.  I have not left him alone loose in my home while I am out so I am not sure if he can be trusted or not.  But he is so good, he is not destructive and does not get into anything he is not supposed to. TOM was found in a field in a rural county with a very small female chihuahua.  They were thrown away in the field in a crate filled with clothes and a bag of food near by.  Now we, rescue always wonder what is wrong wtih the dog when they are discarded like that but nothing was wrong with either one of them.  TOM is healthy and happy.    He walks very well on a leash without pulling and he rides in the car without getting sick. He would make a great companion to someone who needs a friend as he likes to cuddle and just hang out with you although he is independent and not a velcro dog.  TOM is medium-small as he only weighs 20 pounds and he is 2 years old.  We have him as a Norfolk Terrier and Wire Haired Terrier. If you are interested in adopting TOM please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Story
Located in San Antonio Texas Meet Gerti the Border Terrier! She is our newest addition. She was found running the streets with her Dogo Argentino pal. The family that found them spent weeks trying to find their owners with no success. Gerti was not spayed and did not have a microchip. The good new is, she is now spayed, microchipped, and has had all her vaccines! The bad news is, she is heartworm positive. All though we are all very bummed about this she has a fabulous veterinarian that is taking care of her! She has started Gerti on her heartworm treatment protocol and says there is no reason why she can’t find a new home while she is undergoing treatment! Now we just need to find her that perfect place to call home! If you are interested in Gerti let us know.

Story
Winston is a real charmer! He wins the hearts of everyone he meets. He just showed up in a neighborhood looking for someone to love! After taking him to a vet clinic to be scanned for a microchip and posting him all over social media no owner came forward. Now Winston is looking for a new family. He seems to be extremely friendly with everyone he meets however we do not know how he would do with children. The doctor is guessing him to be about 7 - 8 years old. He seems to be house trained and has not been destructive in any way. He very much enjoys going for walks and likes to spend time outside. His biggest love is sitting in laps and giving kisses if he can get away with it! If you think Winston may be a match for you just let us know!
