Story
Located in San Antonio Texas Meet Gerti the Border Terrier! She is our newest addition. She was found running the streets with her Dogo Argentino pal. The family that found them spent weeks trying to find their owners with no success. Gerti was not spayed and did not have a microchip. The good new is, she is now spayed, microchipped, and has had all her vaccines! The bad news is, she is heartworm positive. All though we are all very bummed about this she has a fabulous veterinarian that is taking care of her! She has started Gerti on her heartworm treatment protocol and says there is no reason why she can’t find a new home while she is undergoing treatment! Now we just need to find her that perfect place to call home! If you are interested in Gerti let us know.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi, I’m Alexis I’m a sweet little Border Terrier mix who somehow found myself wandering through a neighborhood all alone, looking a bit lost and hoping someone would help me. Thankfully, kind people brought me to safety, and now I’m ready to find a forever home where I’ll never have to wonder where I belong again. I was born around 5/6/2025 and weigh about 20 pounds — just the perfect size to tag along wherever you go. I absolutely adore people and always want to be close to my humans. If you’re sitting down, there’s a good chance I’ll want to sit nearby too. I’m a very loving girl with a gentle personality. I can be a little jumpy at times, so older kids would probably be best for me. I also seem to be pretty quiet overall and don’t spend my time barking in my kennel. I’m mostly potty trained, though like any dog, I may need a little patience and consistency while adjusting to a new home and routine. One important thing to know about me: I am a fence climber, so I will need a secure, properly fenced backyard to keep me safe. I’m curious and adventurous. I’m spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, 4DX negative, and current on ProHeart 12 and Bravecto — all ready for my next chapter. Adoption fee: $400 Apply at: www.adoggie4you.org Alexis is currently in Texas but can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, Kentucky, and locations along the East Coast for an additional $225 transport fee. Please note that transport is not available to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to state regulations.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 29, 2026, 4:23 pm

Winston is a real charmer! He wins the hearts of everyone he meets. He just showed up in a neighborhood looking for someone to love! After taking him to a vet clinic to be scanned for a microchip and posting him all over social media no owner came forward. Now Winston is looking for a new family. He seems to be extremely friendly with everyone he meets however we do not know how he would do with children. The doctor is guessing him to be about 7 - 8 years old. He seems to be house trained and has not been destructive in any way. He very much enjoys going for walks and likes to spend time outside. His biggest love is sitting in laps and giving kisses if he can get away with it! If you think Winston may be a match for you just let us know!

Story
Boo WHO?! A Boo who would love to be with YOU! This sweet boy arrived with a mysterious past but an abundance of heart. As our self-appointed "Director of First Impressions," Boo greets every visitor at SNIPSA with a professional-grade tail wag. Whether he’s making his morning rounds or leaning in for a chin scratch, he quickly wins over everyone he meets. Boo is the ultimate social butterfly. He’s a big fan of television—specifically Abbott Elementary—and loves to settle in for long sofa siestas. If you put on the Alabama Shakes, don't be surprised if he joins in with a gentle, soulful howl! Our Resilient Boy Because of a suspected spinal injury prior to his rescue, Boo has a few extra needs. He deals with mild urinary incontinence and requires his bladder to be expressed a few times a day. The good news? Boo is a total pro—he knows when his bladder is full and is more than happy to help with the process. He can also rock a belly band for added confidence. While he has been a beloved fixture at the office and has thrived in foster care for a while with our staff member Roxanne, he is officially ready to find a permanent pillow to call his own. Why You’ll Love Boo: * Fun-Sized & Scruffy: He has all the best traits of a Cairn Terrier—playful, curious, and just the right size for any home. * Low Maintenance Energy: He isn’t overbearing; he’s just eager to find a cozy spot to bed down. * Personal Alarm Clock: He’ll make sure you start your day with a smile. We are confident there is a perfect home for every dog, and Boo is no exception. If you have room in your heart for a resilient, charming, and scruffy little friend, Boo is waiting for you! Apply to adopt Boo today!

Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.TACO the terrific terrier mix is a solid, great little dog who just loves people and runs around very happy.  TACO was found on the streets of San Antonio, TX by a good Samaritan running the streets.  Just writing about him makes me smile because he is a happy little guy who is enjoying himself and happy to be in the house.  And he is loving running in and out to play and just mingle with the dogs. TACO is just a bit over 1 year old and 14 pounds and has reached his adult height and weight.  I do not expect he will grow any bigger. I do not have any cats so I am not sure how he would get along with them.  I also do not have a doggy door so I let the dogs out often to potty.  I am saying he is not potty trained but I do not give him a chance to have an accident in the house, I let him often.  I would just be safe to say that he will need to be trained.  But he loves treats so it should be pretty east to potty train him.  He is catching on. His coat is very soft and light, not thick.  He would probably benefit from a trim every 3-4 months, not often like a regular grooming. TACO was given his name by the finder's little boy and he perks up when I call him.  He is independent, not all in your face but he is engaging.  I would give him space to settle in and get to know you. He is totally crate trained.  TACO would be a great first pet for anyone as he is easy to get along with and easy to train. If you are interested in adopting TACO, please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         May 30, 2026, 12:16 am
