Story
Located in San Antonio Texas Meet Gerti the Border Terrier! She is our newest addition. She was found running the streets with her Dogo Argentino pal. The family that found them spent weeks trying to find their owners with no success. Gerti was not spayed and did not have a microchip. The good new is, she is now spayed, microchipped, and has had all her vaccines! The bad news is, she is heartworm positive. All though we are all very bummed about this she has a fabulous veterinarian that is taking care of her! She has started Gerti on her heartworm treatment protocol and says there is no reason why she can’t find a new home while she is undergoing treatment! Now we just need to find her that perfect place to call home! If you are interested in Gerti let us know.

Story
Quarantine up 5/21 Meet Happy .... and her name couldn’t be more fitting. Happy is a 15-pound bundle of joy, possibly a Pug Terrier mix or Brussels Griffon mix, and we estimate she’s around two years old. She is truly the life of the party! If dogs could apply for jobs, Happy would make the perfect Walmart greeter — she loves everyone she meets and is always full of happiness. This fun-loving girl plays a little rough and tumble, reminding us of a tiny bull in a china shop. Because of her playful energy, she would do best in a home with another dog who enjoys wrestling, romping, and keeping up with her spirited personality. Happy absolutely adores people and has never met a stranger. She was found at the Weslaco shelter in deep South Texas with no collar, no tags, not spayed, not microchipped, and sadly, no one came looking for her. Their loss is truly our gain, because we are beyond grateful to have this sweet, joyful little girl safe with us. Happy is now ready for the loving future she deserves. Happy is located in Hondo, TX and a meet and greet can be scheduled with an approved application. If you’d like to make this sweet dog part of your family, please review our adoption process and complete an application here: https://www.tracyspawsrescue.org/adopt Learn more about our rescue here: https://www.facebook.com/TracysPawsRescue Every dog adopted through Tracy’s Paws receives: • Chagas, heartworm, and tick testing (when age-appropriate) • All core vaccines (age-appropriate) • Heartworm and flea/tick preventatives • Regular Deworming • Spay/neuter surgery • Microchip Breed and age listings are our best guess, based on appearance. Whether you're adopting from us or anywhere in the southern states, please familiarize yourself with Chagas disease. It's endemic in the south. Story
Winston is a real charmer! He wins the hearts of everyone he meets. He just showed up in a neighborhood looking for someone to love! After taking him to a vet clinic to be scanned for a microchip and posting him all over social media no owner came forward. Now Winston is looking for a new family. He seems to be extremely friendly with everyone he meets however we do not know how he would do with children. The doctor is guessing him to be about 7 - 8 years old. He seems to be house trained and has not been destructive in any way. He very much enjoys going for walks and likes to spend time outside. His biggest love is sitting in laps and giving kisses if he can get away with it! If you think Winston may be a match for you just let us know!

Story
A Note from Boo’s Foster: From the moment Boo entered the program, I got a firsthand look at his incredible, fun-loving personality and just had to foster him. He has been the perfect housemate to my dog and three cats, fitting in swimmingly with the whole pack. Because of my role as Administrator, he’s also a regular fixture at the office, where he treats everyone like a best friend—he truly has never met a stranger and is an absolute crowd favorite. What makes Boo so special is his loyalty. He is incredibly devoted to his person, and I know he is going to form such a deep bond with his forever adopter. He brings so much joy to the room with his playful energy, especially when he finds a toy... and the bigger it is, the happier he is! I know people might feel hesitant about his incontinence, but I always tell them: we established a routine, and that's all it takes. His huge personality shines so bright that you forget about the rest. I know his perfect match is out there, and I’ll be right here rooting him on until they find each other. Apply for Boo today!

Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.TACO the terrific terrier mix is a solid, great little dog who just loves people and runs around very happy.  TACO was found on the streets of San Antonio, TX by a good Samaritan running the streets.  Just writing about him makes me smile because he is a happy little guy who is enjoying himself and happy to be in the house.  And he is loving running in and out to play and just mingle with the dogs. TACO is just a bit over 1 year old and 14 pounds and has reached his adult height and weight.  I do not expect he will grow any bigger. I do not have any cats so I am not sure how he would get along with them.  I also do not have a doggy door so I let the dogs out often to potty.  I am saying he is not potty trained but I do not give him a chance to have an accident in the house, I let him often.  I would just be safe to say that he will need to be trained.  But he loves treats so it should be pretty east to potty train him.  He is catching on. His coat is very soft and light, not thick.  He would probably benefit from a trim every 3-4 months, not often like a regular grooming. TACO was given his name by the finder's little boy and he perks up when I call him.  He is independent, not all in your face but he is engaging.  I would give him space to settle in and get to know you. He is totally crate trained.  TACO would be a great first pet for anyone as he is easy to get along with and easy to train. If you are interested in adopting TACO, please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         June 14, 2026, 7:53 am
