Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet. This little spit-fire baby is HOLLY!  She is a mere 7 pounds and 4 months old.  We do not expect her to exceed 15 pounds as an adult, she has been slow to grow.  She is a mighty little girl who is super playful but not hyper.  She is in a home with big and small breed dogs and she loves the big dogs, she has no fear of anything.   Like any typical puppy she plays, play and plays until she konks out for a nap.  She loves to cuddle as well.  HOLLY would do best in a home with another dog as a pet playmate.  She loves to go outside and run zoomies although she runs zoomies inside as well.  We are trying to potty train her and she is catching on slowly.  She does follow what the other dogs do and that is a big help.  She knows how to use the pee pads. HOLLY was found by a good Samaritan roaming the streets by herself.  She was covered with fleas so they chose to shave her down.  Her hair is growing back and she is just a small breed scruffy, wire haired and stark white in color. If you are interested in adopting HOLLY, please submit an application on the website below.  Feel free to call me anytime.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         August 11, 2026, 8:14 am

Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.TACO the terrific terrier mix is a solid, great little dog who just loves people and runs around very happy.  TACO was found on the streets of San Antonio, TX by a good Samaritan running the streets.  Just writing about him makes me smile because he is a happy little guy who is enjoying himself and happy to be in the house.  And he is loving running in and out to play and just mingle with the dogs. TACO is just a bit over 1 year old and 14 pounds and has reached his adult height and weight.  I do not expect he will grow any bigger. I do not have any cats so I am not sure how he would get along with them.  I also do not have a doggy door so I let the dogs out often to potty.  I am saying he is not potty trained but I do not give him a chance to have an accident in the house, I let him often.  I would just be safe to say that he will need to be trained.  But he loves treats so it should be pretty east to potty train him.  He is catching on. His coat is very soft and light, not thick.  He would probably benefit from a trim every 3-4 months, not often like a regular grooming. TACO was given his name by the finder's little boy and he perks up when I call him.  He is independent, not all in your face but he is engaging.  I would give him space to settle in and get to know you. He is totally crate trained.  TACO would be a great first pet for anyone as he is easy to get along with and easy to train. If you are interested in adopting TACO, please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Muffin Muffin is a handsome red Norfolk Terrier mix with a heart as soft as his name. Born around March 11, 2025, this little guy weighs just 11.5 pounds—but he’s packed full of sweetness and love. Muffin is a total love bug who just wants to be close to his people. Muffin came from a hoarding situation where he was living with 29 other dogs. Because of that, he’s still learning about the big world and what it means to be a cherished companion. He can be a little shy when meeting new people, but the moment you offer him a little kindness and attention, he warms up quickly and happily soaks up the love. He’s still working on his leash skills and hasn’t quite mastered walking on one yet—right now he much prefers being carried like the little prince he is! With patience and gentle encouragement, Muffin will continue to gain confidence and learn new things every day. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate little companion who just needs a bit of love and reassurance, Muffin might be the perfect match for you. Muffin’s adoption fee is $350. You can apply to adopt him at www.adoggie4you.org This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $250. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 16, 2026, 5:21 pm

Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet. This stout short & stocky guy reminds me of a heavy and strong TANK so that is what I named him.  He is 35 pounds and a medium-small dog that is 5 years old and just built sturdy and solid.  He has a bit of Shih Tzu in him with that Terrier.  Now his personality is just the opposite, he is sooooo well-mannered with a curious behavior.  He follows me around like a student waiting for me to guide him and teach him what to do.  TANK is mellow, very quiet and just goes with the flow.  He never bothers the other foster dogs and they do not bother him.  He is crate and potty trained, walks well on a leash and jumps right in the car ready to go wherever. This guy would be a great first dog or a dog for someone who is not that active because the daily maintenance on him is very low.  He does enjoy a leisurely walk though because he likes to sightsee. We know he is some type of terrier mix but not sure what kind and he will probably need to be groomed every 3-4 months to keep his pretty golden coat looking good. If you are interested in adopting TANK, please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org   ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Story
5 months old… Coco is a sweet and loving dog. She loves to cuddle and watch cartoons with dogs. She likes to run and play outside, playing fetch and walks. So I’ve had Coco on the rehome for about a year because I have such a busy schedule. I have a daughter who finished high school she’s going off to Texas Tech. We’re doing a lot of traveling. My job has me traveling. I don’t have any family members here where I live so there’s no one that I can really rely on to care for her because of that fact she is so precious. Coco is a sweetheart. She is truly a lovable, maybe overly affectionate dog but very active very loving very receptive easy to teach. I love her so much but I’m 55 years old. I’ve raised three girls my last leaving now and I just don’t have the energy to give her what she needs as well as what she requires. A family of children would be great for her because she loves kids. She’s not much of a guard dog, but people think she is because of her bark it’s quite aggressive.
