Story
Clarence just wants to stare out a window at the birds, snuggle under the blankets for a good cuddle, and find cozy hiding spots to take a nap. He is 11 years old, interacts well with other cats (after an adjustment period), and likes his food bowl to be full overnight. He's been stressed lately and has taken to scratching himself silly. Cliping his claws helps with that, but he doesn't really like the experience. He needs a place that is quiet and chill, ideally either alone or with one or two other cats max. He's never interacted with children or dogs, so I would hope you would have neither. A large window he can look out of is also a plus. He is very smart and not shy about meowing to let you know when he needs something. Mostly it's pets, food, or for you to open a specific door. He's been my best friend since he was a kitten. He's been there for me for every hardship I faced. It destroys me to have to find him a new home now. He truly is a fantastic cat.

Story
Meeko, 5 years old,  is a truly wonderful companion with a big personality. She may be a Ragdoll, but she definitely didn’t read the manual — she prefers affection on her terms and isn’t a fan of being picked up or pushed into anything she’s not in the mood for. That said, she’s incredibly smart and respectful… she actually listens when you say “no”! She bonds deeply with her person and becomes a devoted companion. Once you’re her human, she wants to be near you, involved in what you’re doing, and part of your daily routine. Favorite things: • Making biscuits (she’s a champion kneader) • Interactive play — toys are best when you play too • Scratching posts and enrichment toys • Hanging out near her person • She’s even toilet trained! Meeko has lived with and enjoyed other animals in the past, but she does take time to warm up to newcomers. Slow introductions will be important — she doesn’t love sudden “invaders” in her kingdom. Medical notes (important but manageable): Meeko has an allergy condition that causes skin irritation and kitty acne. It is currently well controlled with a daily Atopica medication. She strongly dislikes taking her meds, so she’ll need a patient adopter committed to a routine. She is symptom-free right now, though additional testing could be considered in the future if flare-ups occur. Ideal home: A calm, stable home with a patient adopter who wants a close bond with a single devoted cat. She would do best with someone experienced with cats or comfortable giving daily medication and respecting boundaries. Meeko isn’t a “pick me up and cuddle anytime” cat — she’s a relationship cat. Earn her trust, and you’ll have one of the most loyal companions you’ve ever met.  Meeko lives in Hillsboro with her owner and her rehoming fee is $200   For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM. Story
Paxton is a 4 year old long hair Maine Coon mix. He is being rehomed due to his owners own medical changes.  Paxton is a super sweet and social boy. Loves to curl up and sleep on your lap. He needs to remain indoors only and will need room to run about. He is active, playful and at times gets the "Zoomies" when he has the energy.  Paxton does well with cat friendly dogs, but has not been around other cats.  He loves cat friendly kids and will adore the attention.  Paxton will sleep on the bed with you and he enjoys having his belly rubbed. He is a well behaved guy and knows he is not supposed to jump onto the counter tops, but sometimes he forgets. He just needs a gentle reminder to get down. He is litter box trained and has not had any issues.  He is microchipped, current on vaccines and neutered.  Please note he has not been outside and has been an indoor only cat. If you think of putting him outdoors he may not return, as he may try to go find his old home. Please indoor only. His rehoming fee is $100 donation This cat is offered for adoption due to the owner's personal circumstances. For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM. Story
Miller #1, #2 and #3 are all adult male cats that lived with their human mom until she was admitted to hospice care.  These brothers are shy but friendly.  The owner is not able to tell us their names or any extra information about them but they have had their neuter surgery and are presumed to be UTD on vaccines.    It would be best for these cats to be adopted to a home with other “friendlies” or with one of their siblings.  They are initially shy (as most cats can be after a radical life-change) but they will come around with love and attention after acclimation to their new home.   Miller #1 and #2 are Maine Coon mixes and Miller #3 is a pretty orange tabby.  They live in Salem with their caregiver and are currently in a catio at her home but previously were indoor cats.  These cats are all males and live in Salem with their caregiver.  Adoption fee is $100 ea. For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM.
