Story
Buska is a very pretty black and white fluffy kitty who has a distinct personality and she's all fur and attitude. She likes to nap on a chair in the sun and likes pets at times, especially on her forehead and big checks. She has a soft meow that she uses to demand for food. Don't let her quietness fool you, she warms up to humans very quickly and likes to lay near you on the couch. She's not a lap cat, but she does like to be around people or close to them. Buska is not that playful but likes to sit on her toys or near them. Buska does really get into catnip and rolls on her belly when enjoying the herbal smell. She does likes to play "chase" with the other cats. Buska has adjusted well in her foster home. She is very laid-back and likes to smell your hands or fingers before all pets. She is a little temperamental but listens when you tell her you do not like something she does. You just have to repeat yourself and be patient. She likes to nap a lot during the day and night but comes running, with her little legs, when it is food time. She loves soft lick-able treats and purrs while eating it. Buska is very social and is not afraid of other cats or any humans. She may hiss or growl at first when introducing other pets to her, but she comes around very quickly. She is not too happy with dogs, but just hides from them. She is very chill older cat and just wants to find her forever home and a really good sunspot. Buska's estimated birthdate is January 2010. She is spayed, current on her vaccines, tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV, and has been microchipped. ******* Please note: 4Paws will only consider local adoptions (Northern VA / DC / MD metropolitan area) 4Paws does not adopt to students All kittens under 6mos of age must be adopted into a home that already has another young cat/kitten; otherwise, must be adopted in pairs with a littermate

Story
Are you a fan of fluff and purrs? Then Hope is the girl for you! This sweetheart definitely has Norwegian Forest lineage, although she was found sick and very injured and was taken in by kind rescuers. Hope loves pets and attention, she likes to be held, and wants to be close to people. She is very vocal and can carry on a great conversation- you’ll never be lonely with this beauty around! She has an amazingly fluffy coat that will need some grooming. Hope was raised with a family who threw her into the street when she was pregnant. She was struck by a car and suffered horrific wounds including losing one eye, but was nursed back to health by amazing people in Egypt. Hope gets along with other non-dominant cats but would also enjoy a home where she is the sole recipient of the snuggles and adoration she's so deserving of. Estimated to be 3 years old, she has kitten energy for interactive play, particularly for things on wires or strings, but is also happy to entertain herself with crinkly balls and catnip mice. This girl is the perfect Netflix or work-from-home partner, and is a fantastic supervisor and is LOTS of company!. She is healthy, spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Fostered in Burke, Va and only available to adopters in the DC metro area. Adopters are asked to be willing to stay in communication with Egyptian rescuer or provide periodic updates as these rescuers have invested so much into saving these cats and are very committed to them.

Story
A stunning long-haired mix with tufted paws & ears, Callie's a love bug who enjoys being held and groomed. She's short to the ground, has a super thick, kind of short tail. Her resting facial expression is a mix of grouch and adorable. She's irresistable! We want to make adopting easy for you! Here’s our application:   https://form.jotform.com/232837730565159  Once you complete it, we’re on it! We’ll call your vet (or personal reference) the next business day. Then we like to do a brief video chat (FaceTime if you have it) so you can show us your new pet’s home - where they’ll sleep, eat, and play. During our chat, we can also give you tips or answer questions about how to successfully integrate your new family member into your household, especially if you have other pets. Our adoption fee is $150 and covers our costs of spay/neuter, vaccinations, vet exam, and supplies. (Once old enough, all our cats are current on their shots and have been spayed/neutered.) We’re a strictly no-kill shelter just for cats. We’re cage-free, donation-based, and volunteer-powered. We’re small but special and we’re glad you found us! For more info don’t hesitate to call or text us at 540-987-6050 or email us at adopt@rappcats.org. April 26, 2024, 9:56 pm
