IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: www.frecklesfoundation.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Sunshine! ☀️ True to her name, Sunshine is a petite Ragdoll with a heart as soft as her beautiful coat. Sweet, affectionate, and incredibly gentle, she adores being petted and will happily curl up in your lap for snuggles. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who loves human attention, Sunshine is your girl. Sunshine has a very docile personality and gets along well with other calm cats, though her gentle nature sometimes makes her the target of bullying. Shelter life was especially stressful for her, and the anxiety caused her to overgroom, particularly her tail. Thankfully, now that she’s settled into a loving foster home, she’s feeling much more secure and her gorgeous fur is growing back beautifully. Sunshine is looking for a quiet, peaceful home where she can truly relax and thrive. She would do wonderfully with another calm, easygoing kitty or as the only pet with someone who is home often and can shower her with the love she craves. She would not be happy spending long days alone or living in a busy household with young children and lots of activity. She doesn’t seem to mind respectful dogs who understand feline boundaries, making her a great fit for the right canine companion. If you’re searching for a gentle, loving lap cat who will reward your kindness with endless affection, Sunshine is ready to brighten your life. ☀️ This cat is fixed, vaccinated, current on preventatives, negative for FelV/FIV, microchipped, and has excellent litter box manners. The adoption fee for this cat is $500. Application for adoption: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FRE/Cat If you are viewing on Petfinder and cannot see photos or would like to apply for this cat, please visit our website www.frecklesfoundation.org ***Please note that the first step in the process is to complete our nonbinding application which does not commit you in any way, but allows us to help you to find a great match. Our application review process also includes a veterinary reference check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives (if applicable) and examined annually by your vet.*** Cats adopted through Freckles Foundation & Animal Rescue must be indoor only and may not be declawed unless already declawed at the time of rescue.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hello, I am Wingnut. A sedate senior gentleman looking for a gentle quiet home on my own. I came to King Street Cats after some kitties in my other home were being unkind to me and it made me sad. I also had lost my mom and missed her so much. King Street Cats has taken such good care of me. I have had all the vetting I needed, even had the last of my teeth removed! Don't feel badly about that, I think it is a plus as my family will never have to pay for dental treatment for me. There is one kind of embarrassing thing I need to share. My lovely long fur had been a bit neglected and I had lots of mats and knots that caused me some pain; so I had to have all my fur shaved. It is growing back now but still has a ways to go. I know my new family will be sure that I never have to go through that again. Anyway, I wanted to ask, do you have a lovely quiet home, with a sunny window? It doesn't have to be a big place, even an apartment would do quite nicely. If you think we might be a match I would love to meet you and we can see if we might have a forever together. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. August 1, 2026, 7:17 am

Story
Stripes is in the house! I am about 4 years old. I love my friend Patches! It has been Patches and Stripes for as long as I can remember. It would be great if we could be adopted together. However, since we have been looking for a forever home for a long time now (more than 2 years!), Patches and I have made the tough decision that we can be adopted to separate homes. We are hoping that this, plus our adoption fees being waived thanks to generous sponsors, will increase our chances of success. I am looking for that unique adopter who will love me and take care of me but will not expect a snuggly kitty in return. I am a pseudo scaredy cat. While I still have an instinct to hide when a person walks in the room, now I stop myself and do some stretching. It is very important to stretch before exercising. Also, I am bribable. So, when you want a little attention from me, I will take Churo from your fingers! I would prefer a home with another cat. While another cat in my home can only make life better, and help me come out of my shell, children and dogs are a big ICK. Seriously, cats rule! If you think that you could be that special someone for me, please learn more about me by filling out a no obligation cat adoption application. All of our cats are in foster homes. Please submit an application to start the process today! https://humaneloudoun.org/adopt/cat-adoption-application/

Story
The only thing better than one brown tabby is TWO —Meet Vincent and Jules, a handsome two-year-old brown tabby duo with sleek short coats and an easygoing charm. They both have very expressive eyes and a warm, affectionate personality. Vincent shares a close bond with his best friend Jules, and the two have come a long way together. Once cared for outdoors by a kind family, they were given the chance at a better life—and V and J have embraced indoor living like a pro. They are both comfortable, curious, and clearly enjoying all the perks of home life. Vincent can be a little reserved when meeting new people, but he warms up quickly and loves being part of the action once he feels secure. He's great with other cats and does well with respectful, mindful children, making him a wonderful addition to a calm, loving home. You may notice Vincents unique ear—he has a small ear tip from an old injury, which just adds to his character and tells part of his story. It doesn't bother him one bit and only makes him more unforgettable. Now for Jules- he has a confident, outgoing personality and a heart full of charm! This handsome guy is a delight wherever he goes and isnt shy about making himself part of the action. Confident and curious, Jules does well with cat-savvy kids who understand how to respectfully engage with a spirited, social kitty like him! Brown tabbies are just the BEST. Everyone should have a pair! Throughout August 2026, as part of Clear the Shelters, and thanks to generous sponsors, the adoption fees for Vincent and Jules are waived.
