They are about 6 months old and spunky, friendly, happy, adventurous, curious, loving, and great with all dogs and with cats. They are active and are not lap dogs. They do love cuddles and being petted, but they are terriers and love the outdoors and exploring the woods and the pond. Unlike other small breed dogs, these types of dogs are not couch potatoes so they will need play time and activities. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs.   It doesn’t stop there! This cutie is Cream Soda. She is currently 1 1/2 months old and weighs approximately 3 pounds. We think they may be a Border Terrier / Chihuahua mix*, but with rescue it’s a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies.
