WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🐾💙 Meet Oakley — Tiny, Mighty, and Full of Puppy Chaos 💙🐾 Oakley is a 5-week-old, 5-pound bundle of pure puppy energy who will be ready for his forever home in just a few short weeks. This little guy is already practicing his zoomies, perfecting his pounce, and mastering the art of stealing hearts (and shoelaces). When fully grown we're guessing he should be a fantastic medium size just pawfect for joining in ALL your life adventures from the daily mundane to your weekend exciting!! Oakley is your classic happy-go-lucky puppy: playful, curious, social, and always up for whatever fun is happening next. He’s great with the other pups in his foster home and, with proper introductions, should do just fine with cats too. He loves people and is always excited to make new friends — just remember, he comes equipped with tiny razor teeth and enthusiastic puppy nails, because… well… puppy. 😄 He’s currently up to date on age-appropriate vaccines and will be neutered before leaving the rescue, so he’ll be all set for his next big adventure: becoming someone’s very best friend. Oakley’s hobbies include: 🐾 Wrestling with his foster siblings 🐾 Playing until he flops over mid-zoomie 🐾 Giving surprise puppy kisses 🐾 Investigating EVERYTHING 🐾 Being ridiculously cute 24/7 He’s looking for a family ready for all the wonderful chaos that comes with raising a puppy — training, laughter, chewed toys (maybe trying to sneak in a shoe too!), and lots of love. If you’re ready for puppy breath, puppy snuggles, and puppy shenanigans, Oakley is ready for you!!! ✨ Apply today at haydudeequine.org and get ready to fall in love with this tiny tornado of joy. 🐶💙

These pups are in Seattle, Washington too!

Story
* Limited Time* We are part of the Bring LOVE Home Challenge with Best Friends Network, and are offering discounted adoption donations and expedited processing on all adult dogs in the rescue for December! Be a part of Bringing Love Home for the Holidays! Cheddar - literally the BIG Cheese! Handsome Cheddar came to us as a retired breeder stud. He has mostly lived outdoors on his farm, and obviously helped himself to seconds (and thirds!). Cheddar is such a beautiful soul, now working on his weight and skin issues at his foster, for the first time he is learning all about soft places to sleep, toys and cuddles! Cheddar does so well with other dogs, and humans, he just needs that perfect home to continue his weight loss journey and live that good PNW life! Cheddar can do stairs and loves to run around the yard, and with a continued weight loss of 30-40 pounds ahead, nothing will stop Cheddar now. All he really needs beyond his diet is a person to be his best friend and partner through life. Cheddar loves to run in the yard, no lazy bones here. Cheddar had to be partially shaved to remove horrible matting, and his grooming will be tuned up and evened out soon. And hair grows back - just ask any golden retriever parent! Cheddar is current on his vaccinations, Microchipped and is neutered as a part of his adoption donation.

Story
Carter isn't broken, just bounced around. Carter is a beautiful 6-year-old, neutered male Golden Retriever, bounced around more than any dog whose heart is wired for love and loyalty should be. Prior to coming to us he suffered: a rehome, a divorce, a foster situation, a failed adoption - where expectations were rushed and his need for patience to decompress was non-existent. That’s a lot for any dog. Especially one who just wants to belong. In just two days in the care of one of our board members, he’s already reminding us why Goldens are so special—soft eyes, gentle presence, a heart that still wants to trust. He’s not “broken.” He’s tired. He’s confused. What he needs now is not another whirlwind🌪️. He needs a soft place to land. A calm, experienced forever home—someone who understands that trust isn’t immediate after repeated goodbyes. A home that understands decompression isn’t a luxury—it’s ESSENTIAL. Someone who will let him breathe. Let him settle - without expectations, without pushing, and without rushing the bond. His heart has been broken, but it is still open. 💛 With patience and stability, Carter will be the kind of dog who stays close, loves deeply, and proves—once again—why Goldens are truly the best. If you are ready to give your heart and get a golden heart in return, and the ability to offer Carter a soft place to land, he needs you now. Because loyalty like this shouldn’t keep getting passed over. Carter will be adopted to a home with a secure yard for safe playtimes. Carter is neutered, Microchipped and vaccinated included in his adoption donation.
