Story
i got my girl 3 years ago from the shelter (she was 10 months old and had been raised in the shelter). i unfortunately didn’t realize that she wasn't socialized and was reactive to dogs, men & anything on wheels until after i got her, so i wasn’t fully prepared for the type of training we needed to do. we’ve worked on this behavior and have made great progress (esp with men & bikes) but i struggle with my mental health & it is overwhelming at times to feel like we’re “always training”. i’m looking for a home that is more experienced with reactivity and behavioral needs to give Tipa the life she deserves to have. her name in the shelter was “sassy” and that sums it up pretty well. shes silly, very communicative, very cuddly, and has endless energy. she loves play tug, fetch, and swim! she has a metal rod in her hind left leg and is totally fine now but may end up having arthritis at an earlier age than some dogs.

Story
Phinney is a sweet 1 year and 5 month old Australian Shepherd and Labrador Retriever mix. He was adopted from Tacoma Humane Society. He is very friendly with most people but has shown some hesitancy about some men. He immediately trusted my male partner when he was introduced to us and appeared comfortable with men at the shelter. Phinney sometimes gets overstimulated when he sees other dogs on walks but he is getting better at disengaging. He has had successful playdates, and spent the first year of his life with his sister. He is crate trained, house trained and not destructive. We have worked with him on clicker training, and he knows basic commands (sit, stay, lie down, touch). He loves to cuddle and bounce around with his toys. We took him to a Sniffspot and he loved it - I think he would love a backyard he can decompress in. We love him so much and want him to be with a family who can support him fully.

Welcome Dixie to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 9-month old Smooth Coated Collie/Kelpie is our best guess on breed. She weighs 50 pounds. She is very very loyal to her people and would be great with someone wanting a dog to go with you places or if you work from home and want a loyal partner. She is crate trained, potty trained, good on a leash and good in a car. She was found as a stray and her foster mom has been putting this girl through dog training. She is doing really good in her classes and is learning some more basic commands. She is a higher energy dog and would be great for a runner, jogger or hiker type person. She is lower on the shed scale. She has a lot of personality and would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Her best home would be with a fenced yard. She could run and play off some energy. She likes you to be outside with her as she wants to be around her family over exploring the yard all along without you. She would be fine with children as well. We like them to be 8 or older. She is up on her vaccinations, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland(Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. We can put you in touch with her foster mom after you put in and get your application approved. We can also set up a meet and greet if you are local in Texas.
