Story
I have been here since 04/05/2026. I had a little misunderstanding that led to a bite once, but I want you to know it was not because I was being mean. Sometimes, I just get a little too excited or confused, but I am all about love and having fun! If you would like to meet me, give my friends at the BHC Animal Shelter a call and they will set up a time for us to meet!

Story
Alex is a sweet guy but a little shy. He likes belly rubs and walks. He plays well with other dogs but he guards his own food. He has no problem with children or cats. He will allow himself to be picked up but he has to know and trust you first. Alex came from a hoarding situation where he was very neglected. He is coming around now in his foster home. He will require patience and lots of love to accustom to a new home.

Story
Zara is a very playful smart dog who loves being around people. One of the main reasons I can’t keep her is because I’m moving and taking her is going to be very had unfortunately. I’m hoping to find her a better forever home soon.

DOB: 05/11/2025 Breed: Papillon mixSpayed female 9lbsMicrochipped & fully vaccinatedNegative for heartworm & tick-borne diseases, and on a monthly preventative*Adoption Fee $500*A little bit about me… Pleased to meet you, I’m Mona! At first, I might come off like a calm and gentle girl, but don’t be fooled, once I get comfortable, my puppy energy really comes out! I love zooming around and roughhousing with other little doggie friends whenever I get the chance. I’m a sweet girl, but I’ll be honest...I do have a bit of a stubborn princess streak. I like things my way and I believe I deserve the royal treatment. Since I’m still a puppy, I’m going to need a family that’s ready to keep working on my training. I’m not very polite on the leash, and I’ll need continued guidance with the basics so that I can grow into the best girl possible. I also still have that classic puppy habit of being a little mouthy and nippy, so I would not be best for young children right now. If you’re looking for a fun, spunky little companion, I might be your girl! The highlights…-Very energetic-I can be stubborn -I’m still a puppy-Sweet demeanorKey points to know…-Expect lots of energy and brainpower. Papillons are small but very intelligent and energetic dogs. Daily playtime, walks, and mental stimulation will keep them happy and prevent boredom behaviors like chewing or barking.-At this age, she’s still learning! Consistent, positive reinforcement training will help her grow into a well-mannered adult.-Grooming and skin care matter for white coats. All white dogs show dirt and tear stains more easily. Regular brushing, gentle baths when needed, and keeping the eyes clean will help maintain that beautiful coat. Papillon mixes also benefit from brushing to prevent tangles and keep their fur healthy.

Story
If you ever wondered what a firecracker would look like in dog form, it would be Pippin. At 11 years old, this pup has the energy and sass of a dog half his age. And don’t bother telling him he’s only 9 pounds because he refuses to believe he’s smaller than a grizzly bear. He can get a little nervous walking on a leash with other dogs around, but why walk when you can play fetch? This little dude loves toys almost as much as he loves car rides, and he’s great with cats, which let’s be honest, is kind of amazing. He likes to be around people, so a home where he can hang out with his new family all the time would be the perfect place for this handsome pup. We all need a little shine in our lives. Adopt Pippin and you’ll never have a day without a dash of sparkle. Good with: people, car rides (he LOVES car rides), snacks, naps, toys, playing fetch Housetrained: Yes Breed: Papillon mix Size: 9.6 lbs Gender: Male
