Story
I got him through a family friend, they couldn’t take care of him and I took him in without thinking, and committed a little too soon. I want what’s best for him and want him to be with a family that’s there for him. He’s around 8-10 years old. He’s very friendly and funny. He loves when people pet him and rub his tummy. He loves treats as well.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Cameron was returned this summer - 9 months after he was adopted! Now he's looking for a REAL forever family.  Cameron is best described as a Cat-Dog. Much like a cat Cameron is happy on his own, and likes to be petted - but when he's ready. He isn't gonna try to steal the spotlight because he'd much rather hang out on his own - until he's comfortable. If you are looking for a fast friend, this is NOT the dog for you. But if you want to invest the time and let the dog feel relaxed and safe, he will repay you by letting you pet his chin. Cameron will do really well in a home with another small dog to help him feel more comfortable, or with a human that won't put too much pressure on him to be their friend. He is leash trained, crate trained and will need a dog savvy adopter. =============================================================== Originally, Cameron came to us after his owner was evicted and decided to abandon the house full of animals when they left.  Cameron and the two pack mates that we pulled with him were terrified. It's been 9 months and these cutie pies are available for adoption.  Cameron is the slowest to come around of the 3 dogs we pulled. While he is more comfortable hanging out by himself he does like people.  Cameron absolutely loves to run around the yard, and the more you praise how fast he is, the faster he runs - with a smile! Cameron is still shy and needs an owner that will go slow with him, but still apply a little bit of pressure. If you'd like to meet Cameron, come on down to our adoption center. Story
SPECIAL NEEDS GIRL Lola is an active, playful girl. She doesn't ask for much, just a little affections and her comfy bed. Lola was severely neglected. Her teeth were so bad even the bone was infected. When that went untreated her tongue developed lesions too. Most of her teeth have been removed. Her tongue has recovered but a bit out of shape. Because of this Lola has a bit of a drool. It 's not much but the edges of her mouth is usually wet. Lola has had skin issues and uses a cream on her tummy. We are hopeful this will heal as its just a small area. Lola is potty trained and prefers to go outside rather than use potty pads but will use them if necessary. She gets along with the other dogs but barks a bit at newcomers. It has been a joy to watch Lola fight to overcome her ailments. Many times we thought the infections could not be contained. Lola loves car rides and walks but the barking at strangers is a bit much. She gets plenty of exercise chasing the other foster dogs. If you have room in your heart to give this this little lady the comfort she deserves for the rest of her life please come and meet her. We are hoping to find a home with a secure yard.

Story
Meet Butterfly 🦋 Butterfly is a tiny 4-pound, 4-year-old Chihuahua/Papillion mix with the sweetest little soul. She isn't complicated—she's just a girl who hasn't yet learned that there are humans she can trust. She isn't aggressive in any way. In fact, she's the opposite. When she's unsure, she simply shuts down and tries to disappear. You'll often find her "caving"—burrowing into couch cushions or slithering behind pillows where she feels safe. It's her way of coping while she learns the world isn't so scary. Her ideal home would be with someone who works from home or is around most of the day, giving her the time and patience she needs to blossom. One thing that truly brings Butterfly out of her shell? Walks! She absolutely loves them. An apartment would be perfectly fine as long as she gets multiple walks each day. Those outings help build her confidence and let her discover that life can be fun. Butterfly isn't looking for someone to "fix" her. She's looking for someone who will love her exactly where she is and celebrate every tiny victory along the way. The adopter who gives her that chance will get to witness one of the most beautiful transformations—a little butterfly finally spreading her wings. If you think you could be the safe place Butterfly has been waiting for, we'd love to hear from you.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Rocky – Your Loyal Best Friend and Adventure Partner! ❤️ Rocky is a handsome 2-year-old dog with a heart as big as his smile. This sweet boy is incredibly affectionate, friendly, and eager to be part of a loving family. He loves spending time with his people and is happiest when he's included in everyday activities, whether that's going for a car ride, exploring a new trail, taking a walk around the neighborhood, or simply relaxing by your side. Rocky's story is one that will tug at your heartstrings. Before coming into our rescue, he was left to roam the streets on his own. When we found him, he was desperately approaching strangers and begging for food. He was hungry, thirsty, and covered in fleas and ticks. Our hearts broke seeing him in such a neglected condition. The saddest part was that Rocky actually had owners. When we brought him home and attempted to reunite him with them, they simply shrugged and said, 'You can take him.' While it was heartbreaking to see him so easily discarded, part of me was relieved because I knew this precious boy deserved so much more. Today, Rocky is an absolute gem. He is affectionate, obedient, loyal, and incredibly friendly. He walks beautifully on a leash, has excellent recall, and loves being with his people. Rocky is the kind of dog that quickly becomes your shadow and your best friend. His gentle nature and eagerness to please make him a joy to have as a companion. Rocky does wonderfully with older, considerate children and enjoys the company of other friendly dogs. In fact, he would love a canine companion in his forever home—another friendly dog to play with, bond with, and share adventures with. However, Rocky would do best in a home without cats. This amazing boy is looking for a forever family that will cherish him the way he deserves to be cherished. A secure fenced yard would be ideal, along with a family that will include him in their daily lives and never let him wonder where his next meal, kind word, or loving touch will come from. If you live in Southern California, San Diego County, have a home with a secure fenced yard, and would love to welcome Rocky into your family, please complete an adoption application at www.tlck9rescue.org. Not ready to adopt? Rocky is also looking for a foster home while he waits for his forever family. If you'd like to help this wonderful boy, please submit a foster application through our website as well. After everything he's been through, Rocky hasn't lost his faith in people. He still greets every day with a wagging tail, a happy heart, and endless love to give. Now all he needs is a family who will love him forever. ❤️Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 27, 2026, 9:45 pm
