Story
Meet Momo  Momo is a charming 4-year-old Papillon weighing about 10 pounds. He came to us from a hoarding situation, arriving very shy and scared, but he has blossomed into a happy, friendly, loving, and absolutely adorable little dog. Momo still needs a patient adopter who will give him time to adjust to new surroundings and continue building his confidence. Once he feels safe, his sweet personality truly shines—he especially loves curling up and sleeping on your neck, making him the ultimate cuddle companion. He was given a few too many treats before coming into rescue, so he’s a bit chunky right now and would ideally be closer to 8 pounds with proper diet and exercise. Momo is neutered, microchipped, and current on all vaccines, and he’s ready to find his forever home. Adoption Fee: $450 Applications can be found at www.secondleashonlife.org If you’re looking for a loving little companion who just needs a bit of patience and kindness, Momo could be the perfect match for you.   ##2794486##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Cameron was returned this summer - 9 months after he was adopted! Now he's looking for a REAL forever family.  Cameron is best described as a Cat-Dog. Much like a cat Cameron is happy on his own, and likes to be petted - but when he's ready. He isn't gonna try to steal the spotlight because he'd much rather hang out on his own - until he's comfortable. If you are looking for a fast friend, this is NOT the dog for you. But if you want to invest the time and let the dog feel relaxed and safe, he will repay you by letting you pet his chin. Cameron will do really well in a home with another small dog to help him feel more comfortable, or with a human that won't put too much pressure on him to be their friend. He is leash trained, crate trained and will need a dog savvy adopter. =============================================================== Originally, Cameron came to us after his owner was evicted and decided to abandon the house full of animals when they left.  Cameron and the two pack mates that we pulled with him were terrified. It's been 9 months and these cutie pies are available for adoption.  Cameron is the slowest to come around of the 3 dogs we pulled. While he is more comfortable hanging out by himself he does like people.  Cameron absolutely loves to run around the yard, and the more you praise how fast he is, the faster he runs - with a smile! Cameron is still shy and needs an owner that will go slow with him, but still apply a little bit of pressure. If you'd like to meet Cameron, come on down to our adoption center. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Rocky – Your Loyal Best Friend and Adventure Partner! ❤️ Rocky is a handsome 2-year-old dog with a heart as big as his smile. This sweet boy is incredibly affectionate, friendly, and eager to be part of a loving family. He loves spending time with his people and is happiest when he's included in everyday activities, whether that's going for a car ride, exploring a new trail, taking a walk around the neighborhood, or simply relaxing by your side. Rocky's story is one that will tug at your heartstrings. Before coming into our rescue, he was left to roam the streets on his own. When we found him, he was desperately approaching strangers and begging for food. He was hungry, thirsty, and covered in fleas and ticks. Our hearts broke seeing him in such a neglected condition. The saddest part was that Rocky actually had owners. When we brought him home and attempted to reunite him with them, they simply shrugged and said, 'You can take him.' While it was heartbreaking to see him so easily discarded, part of me was relieved because I knew this precious boy deserved so much more. Rocky is an absolute gem. He is affectionate, obedient, loyal, incredibly friendly and loves kids. He walks beautifully on a leash, has excellent recall, and loves being with his people. Rocky is the kind of dog that quickly becomes your shadow and your best friend. His gentle nature and eagerness to please make him a joy to have as a companion. Rocky does wonderfully with older, considerate children and enjoys the company of other friendly dogs. In fact, he would love a canine companion in his forever home—another friendly dog to play with, bond with, and share adventures with. However, Rocky would do best in a home without cats or a very dog friendly cat because he's just scared of them. This amazing boy is looking for a forever family that will cherish him the way he deserves to be cherished. A secure fenced yard would be ideal, along with a family that will include him in their daily lives and never let him wonder where his next meal, kind word, or loving touch will come from. If you live in Southern California, San Diego County, have a home with a secure fenced yard, and would love to welcome Rocky into your family, please complete an adoption application at www.tlck9rescue.org. Not ready to adopt? Rocky is also looking for a foster home while he waits for his forever family. If you'd like to help this wonderful boy, please submit a foster application through our website as well. After everything he's been through, Rocky hasn't lost his faith in people. He still greets every day with a wagging tail, a happy heart, and endless love to give. Now all he needs is a family who will love him forever. ❤️Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 13, 2026, 9:45 pm
