Meet Bandit! Bandit is a 1 year old Papillon mix weighing just 11 pounds, with the cutest black and white coat and a big personality to match! This spunky, playful little guy loves to have fun and quickly forms a strong bond with his person. Once he knows you’re his human, Bandit is incredibly loyal and affectionate. Because he gets attached quickly, Bandit will do best with an adopter who understands he may need a little time and patience to warm up to new faces. With gentle introductions and a calm environment, his sweet and loving nature really shines. Bandit is potty trained, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations, and he will be neutered soon. He gets along well with other small dogs when introduced properly and would thrive in a home that will continue his basic training and help him build confidence. beautiful 10 year old. All she wants is to be with you, rubs and food. I have made countless attempts to find a suitable home for her, but to no avail. After reaching out to numerous no-kill shelters and various organizations, none have been able to assist me. The sadness and sorrow I feel regarding this situation is overwhelming. After exhausting all my options, I believe it may be kinder to provide her with a peaceful passing in my arms.

What's not to love about Maxine? Maxine is estimated to be around 7 months old, and she is an adorable girl with the cutest personality. She can be bashful at times, but once she settles in, she is a playful and goofy puppy who loves to have fun. Maxine currently weighs about 10lbs and we think she will grow a little and be around 13lbs when fully grown. Maxine came to us from a local shelter. She and her two sisters were found as strays and were never claimed by a family. One of her sisters was adopted, and the other is safe with another rescue. It's now this sweet girl's turn to get her fresh start with her fur-ever family! Maxine came to us suffering from kennel cough, but she is now all better and ready to go! She has blossomed in foster care and has turned into a spunky and fun girl. She loves to race around the backyard and is slowly learning how to do normal dog things. She can still be unsure in new places and when meeting new people, but we know that with a little help from her family, she will grow up to be an amazing companion. Maxine is still learning all of her basic manners, so she will need a family dedicated to helping her learn. Maxine loves other dogs and has become BFFs with one of the younger dogs in her foster home. She would love another dog to play with in her new home, but she could also do well as an only dog with frequent opportunities to socialize with dog friends. We haven't seen Maxine around cats, but we think she may do well living with dog-savvy cats after a slow introduction and proper supervision. Maxine has been doing great living with kids and could be a wonderful addition to a family with respectful kids 7 years and older. Maxine is still working on her housetraining, so her new family will need to be patient with her and be consistent with her training to help her succeed. She hasn't spent too much time alone since her foster mom works from home, so she would do best with a family that can slowly acclimate her to being left alone. Maxine is such a darling girl, and she can't wait to be your new best friend! The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age.
