Story
Welcome PETEY!!
Petey is a handsome, almost 9-year-old, 15-pound tri-color Papillon who sadly lost both of his humans—one passed away, and the other was no longer able to care for him.
Although a little unsure at first, Petey warms up quickly and loves nothing more than being near his person. Whether he's hanging out with you on the couch or following you from room to room, he's simply happy being by your side. He's just a great little companion.
Petey has lived with other dogs but, if you were to ask him, he would tell you the other dog needs to be a chill kinda pup. One that isn't too loud, too barky, or too playful. If you're looking for a playmate for your pup... Petey is not your pup. Truth be told, he may actually be happiest as your one and only, where he can soak up ALL the lovings. And treats.
Petey also isn't a fan of loud kids or lots of yelling. Love cheering on your favorite football team? You may need to dial it back just a notch because all that excitement can be a little overwhelming for him. Got kids that can be a little loud? You may love 'em... but Petey? Meh.
Petey has a very unique bark when he's excited. It's almost like he's auditioning for an opera. 😂He'll also yip when he's warming up and occasionally sing the song of his ancestors (yes... he howls) when he thinks he's home alone. Because of his vocal talents, Petey probably isn't the best fit for apartment, townhome, condo, or other multifamily living.
Now for his one little quirk... Petey seems to have forgotten that he was once house-trained (or "paper-trained"). The good news? He does very well wearing a washable belly band (boy doggie wrap), which makes managing this quirk pretty easy. We all have our little imperfections, right?
If you're looking for a goofy, loyal little sidekick who wants a comfy couch, a pocket full of treats, and someone to call his own, Petey may just be the Little you've been waiting for.
