Meet Daisy!
If you're looking for a gentle, easygoing companion who simply wants to love and be loved, Daisy may be the perfect match for you.
Daisy is the definition of sweet and mellow. She has a calm, affectionate personality and quickly wins over everyone she meets with her soft nature and kind heart. She is immediately friendly with new people, but never overwhelming. She's happy to soak up attention, patiently waits her turn for pets, and is content just being near her people.
Her foster describes her perfectly:
"She loves everyone. If someone is getting attention, she wants part of it, but also waits her turn. She is soft, gentle, and non-reactive."
Daisy's Story
Daisy came to Tails of Hope-WI after being surrendered by a local family who had more dogs than they were able to care for. While her life before rescue may not have included all the individual attention she deserved, Daisy has embraced her new beginning with grace and gratitude.
She has settled beautifully into foster care and has quickly become a favorite thanks to her easygoing personality and loving nature.
Daisy's Favorite Activities
Relaxing at home with her people
Leisurely neighborhood walks
Car rides
Sniffing and exploring new places
Sunbathing
Napping in a cozy spot
Meeting new people
Being carried around like the princess she is
Quiet outings
Low-key adventures
Simply hanging out with her family
One of Daisy's most adorable qualities is that she sounds like a little piglet when she's sniffing around exploring. And when it's nap time? Her sweet snores are guaranteed to make you smile.
What Daisy Is Working On
Daisy has settled into foster life beautifully and doesn't currently have any major behavioral concerns.
She has had little to no accidents when kept on a routine and schedule and is doing very well with crate training when structure is maintained.
Like all rescue dogs, Daisy will continue building confidence through new experiences and positive exposure to the world around her.
Daisy's Ideal Home
Daisy would thrive in a calm, loving home where she can enjoy the simple things in life.
She would be a wonderful fit for:
First-time dog owners
Families looking for a low-maintenance companion
Adults or teens
Families with respectful children
Anyone wanting a calm, affectionate dog
People who enjoy quiet walks and relaxing evenings at home
Daisy gets along well with cats and would do best with other dogs who share her laid-back lifestyle. She enjoys canine companionship but prefers dogs who simply coexist rather than dogs who want to constantly play.
In fact, the only reaction her foster has seen from Daisy was when a large dog came charging toward her wanting to play. Rather than engage, Daisy simply wanted to find a safe place to hide. She's much more interested in peaceful friendships than wild wrestling matches.
Why You'll Love Daisy
Daisy is the kind of dog who makes a house feel like home. She isn't looking for nonstop adventure or excitement. She's looking for a family to share quiet moments, cozy naps, sunny afternoons, and unconditional love.
Sweet, gentle, calm, and endlessly lovable, Daisy would be a wonderful companion for anyone seeking a low-key best friend.
If you're looking for a dog whose greatest joy is simply being by your side, Daisy is ready to meet you.
Note: While some of her pics reflect her poor dental health, she has since been to the vet for a full cleaning with extraction of any teeth that needed to be removed.
Daisy is being fostered in Mondovi, WI.
