Story
Sassy is a 12 year old sweet and lively girl who is looking for a loving, quiet home where she can enjoy her golden years. She is still very active for her age and loves going for daily walks, but she is not overly energetic and is happiest simply being a good companion to her person. Sassy is a little more reserved at first and does best with a calm environment and someone who is willing to be patient while she gets comfortable. Because finding the right home is very important, we would love for potential adopters to meet Sassy at her current home first, and possibly come for several visits so she can get to know them before making the transition.

This adoption is for a bonded pair that can’t be separated. Snoopy is a purebred Papillon, Princess is an American Eskimo. They are both adorable. They are both about 8 yrs and 20 pounds each. They have been together since they were a couple months old. Neither are potty trained very well, and we use pee pads. Snoopy doesn’t like being picked up, but he will hop into your lap. He will only eat if you are eating (or he is super hungry) Princess is a little… special. She has ADHD. So she needs food to be available 24/7. She will forget to eat. She is a fear biter, and a serial killer. Any animal that comes into our fenced backyard, she will murder: birds, baby bunnies, squirrels… I would NOT put her in a home with a cat. She is afraid of other dogs, and will bite. She also loves her humans. The reason I need to re-home them is because I have memory issues that have recently gotten worse, and I forget when I let them out and it has become an issue with their safety.

I received Lola when she was 3 months old. Agreed with a friend to care for her until she could find a suitable home, as her landlord did not allow pets. This friend never bothered to rehome Lola. I've had her for almost 3 years. She is a beautiful and loving pet; I've grown very fond of her, but unfortunately, I am no longer able to care for her. It breaks my heart, but I know she would be happier with a loving, caring human who can give her the love she deserves. She loves hard, you will feel the aches (lol) She is up to date with her shots. I am not sure as to what breed she is, as she was originally a rescued pup.

All of Gherkin’s littermates have found their people, and now this sweet boy is the last pickle waiting for his forever family to come along. Could that family be YOU? Meet Gherkin, a 2-year-old Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix weighing about 15 pounds, with a whole lot of love to give and a little more confidence to build. Gherkin is super sweet, does great with other dogs, and attaches himself to his people pretty quickly. Once he starts to feel safe with you, he wants to be close! But Gherkin’s previous life left him with some fears he’s still learning to work through. He can be especially fearful of men and needs patience, time, and understanding to learn that he’s safe and can trust the people around him. The good news? This little guy is making AMAZING progress! His incredible foster family has been helping him learn to walk on a leash, navigate the world around him, and simply enjoy being a dog. They’re even working on training, including learning to patiently wait for his food, as you can see in the video! Gherkin is doing so wonderfully in so many areas. He just needs someone willing to continue building his confidence, provide gentle guidance and consistent leadership, and show him that the world isn’t such a scary place after all. His ideal home? A patient, loving family with another friendly, social dog who can help show him the ropes! Having a confident canine companion to follow could make a world of difference for this little guy. Gherkin doesn’t need someone to fix him. He needs someone to believe in him, give him the time he deserves, and celebrate all the little victories along the way. 💚 He’s come so far in foster care, and we know he has so much potential to keep blossoming in the right home.
