Katie is sweetheart who will absolutely steal your heart once she feels safe. She’s playful, and smart—BUT SUPER SHY OF NEW PEOPLE AND THINGS! She needs a very special home to thrive. Requirements for Katie’s New Home: 🐕 Another playful dog to be her buddy 🏡 A fenced yard (she doesn’t do leashes yet) 🛏️ Sleeping on the bed with her people 💕 A patient person willing to let her blossom at her own pace Katie plays her little heart out with her doggie siblings—chase and tug-of-war are her favorite games! She also loves to curl up in your lap or snuggle right against you at night. She is housebroken but cannot be crated (she panics and screams), so a crate-free home is a must. Katie also does not walk on a leash. Katie is very shy with new people and new situations. She won’t warm up instantly, but with time, patience, and love, she will come around—and when she does, you’ll see her sweet, silly, loving side shine through. She is a dog that will take WEEKS if not MONTHS to be completely comfortable in a new home. I think she lived on her own for a long time before coming to us.

Kenny is a 2-year-old, 30-pound sweetheart who has come an incredibly long way since being rescued. Though he likely never lived in a home before, but he’s worked hard learning how to be part of a family — and he’s blossomed into a playful, affectionate companion who loves hiking, running, fetch, and curling up on the couch for cuddles. Kenny is housetrained, walks beautifully on leash, learns quickly, and already knows commands like sit, down, leave it, off, under, and back up. He’s eager to please and truly enjoys training and engaging with his people. He also does wonderfully with other dogs at daycare and absolutely loves his cat companions. Kenny’s ideal home will be a female-only household. While he is loving and relaxed with his female owner and friendly with men outside the home, he becomes fearful and distressed around the male owner inside the home environment. Because of this, Kenny needs a calm, patient home where he can feel fully safe and secure without fear triggers. He would likely do best with older, respectful kids and other pets to help him feel comfortable and confident. He can be vocal at times, so apartment living may not be the best fit. Kenny also experiences kennel stress, so he should not be crated. Kenny is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative. We adopted Dom about four weeks ago. My son and I have been waiting on getting a dog till I rented a house with a big fenced in backyard. A few months ago we got that house. Unfortunately, there was nothing in my lease about a pet fee. The owner said pets are OK if it’s a cat or a small dog. Did not realize it was gonna be over $1000 a year which I cannot afford Also, I’ve crate and potty trained him and installed a doggie door going to the backyard. I work 8 to 10 hours a day six days a week. I do come home at lunch to take him for a walk, then take him for a long walk after I get off. I did not realize Jack Russell‘s need way way more exercise than all the labradors I’ve had. He has dug under the fence multiple times, which is causing a huge issue. I hate leaving him in a crate more than a few hours.Just want Dom to live somewhere more appropriate for his needs.
