Chichi loves to roll onto her back and wiggle! Chichi also has a special affection for rope toys, especially enjoying spirited games of tug-of-war with her canine friends. Although she may initially be a little shy when meeting new people, she quickly opens up and displays a wealth of affection. She cherishes cuddling with both children and other dogs. Her foster family has been teaching her new commands, and her favorite toys include squeaky toys and ropes!   Chichi was discovered abandoned alongside her brother, both of them malnourished and left out in the cold. Thankfully, they are now both healthy, and Chichi is on the lookout for her new forever home!   Chichi is currently in foster with other dogs and kids! LOOKING FOR MY ANGEL:  Approx. 11 years old / Approx. 14 lbs. Hi, my name’s Boomer!  I found myself lost or abandoned on the roadside, so a nice lady picked me up and worked with a vet and animal control to try and locate my family as well as do my legal stray hold.  My former owners did not come for me, so the nice lady helped me work my way to Mostly Mutts for which I’m thankful!  I’m in a nice foster home now while I wait for my special person or family to come and adopt me.    • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  There is a young dog in my foster home, and it took me a little while to like him, but now we spend a lot of time together, napping and playing together and just enjoying each other’s company, so if you have a dog, let’s meet and see if we can be good buddies, too. / I do well with the 3 cats in my foster home, as we all just leave each other alone. All cats are different, so I’m not sure how I would be with another cat.  / I haven’t met kids yet and I don’t think I’d want to live with young children, but if you have teens who would let me do my own thing and be gentle with me, let’s meet.  • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  My foster describes me as sweet and energetic, but also independent. I’m not a big cuddler, but I accept affection sitting next to my fosters on the couch and sometimes nuzzling up to them or climb into their lap to be petted.  This has increased in frequency as I’ve become more comfortable.  Initially, I would give ‘warning nips’, not breaking the skin, when I was uncomfortable with something or overstimulated, but I have stopped doing that now and am super grateful for the great care and kindness I get here. / My energy level is 5-7 so I’ve still got some pep in my step.  • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I don’t know any specific commands, but perhaps you can teach me some – or perhaps we just don’t concern ourselves with it. / My crate manners are good in my foster home. / I came in originally incontinent, so I’m on a medication to help with that and now I do pretty well in my foster home when taken out frequently.  I’ll need a work-/stay-at-home family member who can keep me on a frequent schedule and will understand that there will be some accidents.  • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love to be with the other dog in the home, and I like knowing that my fosters are home. When my fosters have been out for a little while, I sometimes greet them by nuzzling between their legs – so sweet.  I sure like pasta, but don’t give me too much, as people food isn’t the best for dogs. / I’m not a fan of thunder or fireworks so I seek out my family during those times, in fact those are the times I will cuddle with and want to be in their laps for safety. I’m also not a fan of towel drying after a bath.  I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get good care and love.  • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.  I needed a good dental cleaning when I arrived, and I’ve had that now with 1 tooth pulled, so my mouth is fresh again.  I’m on a medication called Proin to help with my incontinence and I should stay on that.  I’m also on an inexpensive medication for anxiety and my foster can see that it has helped me settle and I’m doing much better, so I should stay on that.   I’m looking for a wonderful family where I can be a cherished family member!  My adoption fee is $100.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  December 17, 2025, 9:32 am

Story
A SWEET SENIOR COMPANION:  Approx. 10 years old / Approx. 28 lbs.  Hi, my name is Meeko!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control and have been soaking up the love from the dedicated volunteers and in my foster home ever since!  I can’t remember how I ended up at animal control, but I’m thrilled to get a new chance to find a loving home and family – hopefully soon!  I’m currently in a foster home while I wait for my furever family to come for me! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and did not like them, so I want to be your only dog.  I don’t react to other dogs that I see on my walks.  / Cats unknown, however, I have shown a bit of prey drive with other small animals. / I met a nice boy and a girl around 10 years old at Mostly Mutts and was nervous around them, so kids 15+ may be a good match for me.  Let’s meet! • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a small guy with a big, loveable personality!  I’m described as a sweet, gentle, fun-natured and playful, spunky guy.  That’s right, I still have a spring in my step at 10 years old!  I enjoy cuddling/snuggling with my people and will climb right into your lap if you let me!  I’m not shy and can be vocal when I want your attention, so condo or apartment living would likely not be a good fit for me.  I was also not shy about showing my elation, with grateful sighs of appreciation during my shelter bath.  I am a smart, well-mannered, and friendly guy who is sure to bring joy to my new home! / My energy level is 4-6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I have already shown that I know several commands: ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘stay’ and ‘come’.  I also walk nicely on a leash, utilize proper door etiquette, and accept friendly strangers without jumping.  I like to go on walks with my favorite stuffy toy in my mouth – so cute!  I am treat-motivated and love to please, so I bet you can teach me even more – who says an old dog can’t learn new tricks! / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / My potty habits have been pretty good on the shelter schedule and are good in my foster home, too. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I like to spend time with the volunteers and have fun play sessions with them, especially in the MM play yard, and it’s always great when they bring out the toys!  Playing fetch, chew toys, and tennis balls are my favorite things.  You are not likely to find a bigger treat fan than me, either.  Another thing I enjoy is peanut butter filled Kongs and I enjoy going for walks and surveying my world. In my foster home, I love to crawl into my bed and cover myself with a cozy blanket. / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I came in with some broken teeth and needed a good dental cleaning when I arrived and thankfully MM has done that for me.  I’ve got a skin tag on my back leg, but it doesn’t bother me, and I hope you won’t mind it either.   I am looking for a wonderful furever home with a loving family!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  April 9, 2025, 8:46 am

Story
ACTIVE, FUN & READY FOR ADVENTURE:  Approx. 5 years old / Approx. 29 lbs. Hi, my name is Clay!  I joined the Mostly Mutts family when they rescued me from animal control.  I’m keeping the volunteers on their toes with my energetic personality.  Always on the move and ready for adventure, I look forward to being active with my new family.  Let’s exercise together!  I also got to spend some time in the prison/foster training program where I had a great time and learned a lot, too!   • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I recently met dogs in the prison/foster training program, and I was friendly with them. If you have a nice doggie at home already, let’s meet and see if we can be pals. / I met a kitty at Mostly Mutts, and we all agree that I should not live with cats. / I get excited about tennis balls and sometimes try to grab at them, so older teens (15+) may be best.  I have done well changing this behavior when my trainer tells me to ‘wait’, and I hold my ‘sit’.  • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m an active and enthusiastic guy who is playful and ready for fun.  If it’s playtime, I am all in and I see many things as toys, so I’ll toss them all around to play!  I was well-mannered for my bath, so it was a breeze. I’m a people dog who greets the volunteers with unbridled joy. I’m the kind of dog that will guard my home, car and person when on walks and I have bitten over this.  Mostly Mutts has put procedures in place to prevent this and one of our trainers will be happy to work with you to have a successful adoption. / My energy level is 8-10, so I am looking for an active family member to help me direct my energy with fun adventures.  I also really need a fenced-in yard in my new home to be successful given my energy level for some fun playtimes with you. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I’ve mastered the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘come’, ‘place’, ‘leave it’ and ‘down’ commands. I also utilize proper door etiquette.  I had to work on my ball sharing manners, as I am obsessed with them.  My trainer has taught me how to exchange my ball for a treat.  I am also doing well with the ‘wait’ command for this behavior. / I can be a bit jumpy getting out of my kennel, as I am super excited to be with the volunteers. / My potty habits were good on the prison/foster training program schedule and at Mostly Mutts. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love being with people and am enthusiastic when they come to spend time with me.  I also really love tennis balls, the XL red plastic ball in the MM play yard and squeaky toys.  I’m excited for mealtimes, so the volunteers have me using a slow feeder or Kong puzzle which is good for the digestion of fast eaters.  The volunteers will sit with me while I eat, and I enjoy their company.  As mentioned, I need a fenced-in yard in my new home, to help me work out some of the extra energy that I have with you! / I can’t think of any other dislikes besides those mentioned above, but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, EXERCISE and training.  • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.  I’m currently on an inexpensive medication to help with my hyper-focus on balls and some anxiousness at the shelter.  I just get so excited when I see a ball.  I’m hoping that in my forever home, where there will be lots of balls available, I can feel more relaxed about them and hopefully come off the medication in time.   I am looking for a fun-loving family who is dedicated to spending the time with me necessary to meet my energy needs!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  January 20, 2026, 7:13 am
