Story
Meet Bonnie — the Brave Girl with a Big Heart Bonnie’s come so far from her rough beginnings as a stray mama. She’s healthy, happy, and finally ready to find the forever home she’s been waiting for. This gentle, loving girl adores car rides, squeaky toys, and cozy cuddle time. She enjoys walks and playdates with other dogs but prefers to be the queen bee at home—the only pup soaking up all the love. Visitors are welcome, just don’t overstay your welcome! Bonnie is house trained, crate trained, and full of heart. She can guard her favorite things like treats, toys, or even affection, so she’ll do best in a dog-savvy, structured home with older kids or adults. In return, she’ll be your most loyal, affectionate companion. Apply for consideration to adopt at www.ruffdogrescue.org  Please note, we receive a large number of applications. We appreciate your patience as we complete our review processes. A personal interview, reference checks, meet and greet with pet, home visit and a solid vet history are required for adoption.  ##2448971##

Story
Hello, my name is Linky West! I'm around 9 years old and I weigh about 15-20 pounds. I think I'm a rat terrier mix. I'm spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, healthy, and ready to find my new home! I'm house trained and have learned to walk on a leash fairly well. I do not like crates for more than a short period of time, but that's okay because I can be left out without any worry of mischief making. When I first arrived at my foster home, I was very scared and unsure. Over time, I have settled in and come to love it here. I'm so much more happy and confident. I discovered that I love toys and cuddling. I also love treats! Now that I am more confident, I have found my voice and will let you know any time something even remotely interesting is going on in the house or the neighborhood, so I'd do best in a home that did not share walls with neighbors. I live with four other dogs right now. I prefer gentle, easy going dogs and do not care for bossy or dominant dogs. I also lived with cats in my last home. My favorite companion is my human though. Once I get to know you, I will adore you! Where you go, I go. I must insist that I sit on the couch with you and sleep in bed with you.    An odd quirk I have is that I get scared when someone tries to handle me (like a vet) or put something on my body (like a harness). If you slow down and speak sweetly, it helps me calm down a bit. My other request is a securely fenced yard. This is because I sometimes try to dart out the door and run wild, and also because I'm still working on my leash skills.  I'm really enjoying life in my foster home, but I am ready to find my new forever home!   An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. We verify rental policies and adhere to any regulations. Please ensure you understand those restrictions before choosing a dog.          May 19, 2026, 11:52 am

Story
Meet Reese – Your Loyal, Sun-Loving Companion Reese has been a cherished part of her family for the past three years, and it’s easy to see why. She is a deeply loyal, affectionate dog who thrives on human connection and loves being part of everyday life. Whether she’s soaking up the sunshine in the backyard or relaxing near her people, Reese is happiest when she’s close to those she trusts. Reese is incredibly friendly with adults and has done wonderfully with older children who understand and respect her space. She forms strong bonds with her people and will be a devoted, loving companion to the right home. Like many sensitive dogs, Reese can experience anxiety, especially in environments that feel overwhelming or unpredictable. Because of this, she will do best in a calm, structured home where she can feel safe and supported. She is looking for a home without young children or other dogs, ideally with adults or a family with older kids who are dog-savvy and understand boundaries. With consistency, patience, and continued training, Reese has so much potential to truly thrive. In the right environment, her sweet nature and unwavering loyalty shine through in the most beautiful way. Reese is ready to find her person — someone who will give her the stability, understanding, and love she deserves. In return, she’ll give you her whole heart. If you think Reese could be the right fit for your home, reach out to learn more about her and start the next chapter of her journey.

Story
I got Zara as a puppy when I was single with no children and she’s been my baby for 8 years. Now, that I’m married and a mom of almost two babies ( pregnant with one on the way) she doesn’t get the love and attention she deserves. Zara is very sweet & protective of those she loves but doesn’t bite. All bark no bite. Once she gets use to certain ppl she’s really sweet with others as well. She is potty trained and will inform you when she needs to go. She would be best in a home without other dogs ( it’s a hit or miss if they will get along). Children are also a hit or miss with Zara. She’s great with my daughter but doesn’t always do well with my friend’s children. She will lay at your feet and with you when you’re sick- she’s very loving. She loves being outside but does bark. She would do great with someone who wanted a little protection maybe even a single person or retired couple. She’s very healthy, never had any issues. Happy to answer any questions.

Story
Meet your future Sassy shadow! This 6-year-old Rat Terrier mix (with a dash of either Pug charm or Boston sass) is a petite 15-pound package of devotion. If loyalty were a sport, she’d be undefeated. She doesn’t just like her person… she happily orbits them like a tiny, watchful moon. She’s fully housebroken and has mastered the fine art of cozy living. Her signature move is burrowing under blankets and occasionally popping out to give you adoring looks. Walks? Yes, please. She enjoys getting out and about, taking in the world one sniff at a time, then returning home to resume her favorite hobby: being very, very close to you. She gets along well with other dogs and is polite and easygoing in their company. She has not been tested around cats yet. Her ideal home is one where someone is around often to give her constant companionship and to include her in all of your activities. If you’re looking for a loyal little sidekick who will love you intensely, keep your feet warm, and follow you everywhere, Sassy is ready to claim her person!
