You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Fergus – or “Gus” to his friends! This 3-year-old Parson Russell Terrier/Corgi mix is a sweet, playful, and endlessly entertaining little guy with a big personality packed into a compact body. Gus was found as a stray in Texas, and while he’s still learning the finer points of home life, he’s doing wonderfully with patience, consistency, and routine. Gus is  potty trained  and  bell trained  to let you know when he needs to go outside—fair warning though, he loves being outdoors, so he may ring the bell just for fun! When it’s truly potty time, you’ll notice he rings with a bit more urgency. A  fenced yard  would be ideal for him, as he enjoys running, exploring, and showing off his impressive hops (including his adorable, Tigger-like bounce). He’s a friendly, social boy who does great with people—he recently visited a feed mill and charmed everyone there. Gus has also done well around other animals. He currently coexists peacefully with a barn cat; while he was initially unsure, he now calmly observes without aggression or prey drive. Slow introductions are still recommended. He’s also been calm and curious around a horse from a distance, again showing no aggression. Because he enjoys canine companionship, Gus would likely thrive in a home with  another confident, stable dog  to play with and learn from. Gus is crate trained, rides well in the car, and minds very well overall, though he does best with consistent guidance. He’s improving on leash skills—he tends to walk out in front and pull a bit, but he responds well to redirection and continues to make progress. True to his Jack Russell roots, he has a classic yip-then-bark to get your attention and is quite the little “talker.” At home, Gus is affectionate and playful. While he’s not a big couch cuddler yet, he enjoys being close by and will happily settle at your feet while you work or relax. He loves toys, outdoor playtime, and giving sweet kisses (especially on ears and necks!). Gus is still polishing his manners, but he’s smart, eager to learn, and full of heart. With continued training, enrichment, and a patient family, he’s going to shine. If you’re looking for a funny, loyal, and spirited companion who will keep you smiling every day, Gus just might be your perfect match. From his foster: Neuf is a happy, spunky, energetic guy who loves squeaky toys, playing with other dogs, and zooming around the yard. He’s very smart and highly food-motivated, making him responsive to training—he’s already picking up basic obedience quickly. Neuf does great in his crate overnight and is fully potty trained, going right away when let out. Neuf can be a bit vocal at first when hearing new sounds or meeting new people, but he settles quickly and becomes friendly and affectionate with calm, patient introductions. He appears new to structured leash walking and may pull, dart, or bark at moving things, so he’ll need a patient adopter committed to continued leash training. With consistency, he has already shown impressive improvement. He does have some mild separation anxiety and prefers being near his humans—something we expect will continue to improve in a stable, forever home. Neuf is very playful and may nibble during excitement or greetings, which is not aggressive but does require redirection and ongoing training. Because of this, he would do best with adults or older children who understand dog boundaries. Neuf is good with other dogs but has been known to chase cats, so a cat-free home is recommended. With structure, patience, and love, Neuf has made incredible progress in a short time and will make a loyal, affectionate companion. He’s a sweet boy with so much love, snuggles, and tail wags to give.

Hi, my name is Sugar Socks and I am from Kentucky! From her foster: This gentle, snuggly pup is the perfect blend of quiet sweetness and adventurous spirit. She adores being around people and has been wonderfully respectful of our older resident dog who prefers space. Sugar Socks is doing great with her crate: she eats in it, sleeps in it overnight, and will settle in after a little initial whining. Despite her first few days with us being VERY cold, she's doing most of her pees outside and is working hard on mastering outdoor poops too. She's a wiggly, happy little hopper when she runs, always ready for praise and encouragement. If you're looking for a loving companion with a soft heart with wiggle butt charm, Sugar Socks is your girl!

Hi, my name is Sleighbell Spectacle and I am from Kentucky! Sleighbell Spectacle is a beautiful, curious and fun-loving pup who enjoys playing and goofing around, followed by a good snuggle and sleep session. She’s done well with potty training and has quickly picked up on going right away outside - even in these cold temps! She is playful and sweet and enjoys playing with my three kids and our two larger resident dogs. She settles quickly in her crate and sleeps through the night until we wake her in the morning!
