Adoption fee: $750 Meet Ewok: The Little Wookiee With the Biggest Heart At first glance, you might think Ewok is judging your life choices. He's not. That's just his face. With his permanently serious expression, fluffy Shih Tzu/Pekingese mix looks, and adorable 'grumpy grandpa' eyebrows, it's no surprise he was named Ewok. But don't let the hilarious poker face fool you— behind those expressive eyes is one of the sweetest, gentlest little companions you'll ever meet. At just 9 pounds and 5 years old, Ewok is the perfect combination of cuddly, calm, funny, and ridiculously charming. Professional Family Supervisor Ewok has perfected the art of quietly keeping tabs on everyone. If you're cooking dinner, he's stationed nearby making sure quality control is happening. If the kids are playing, he's close enough to supervise. If everyone is hanging out together, he'll strategically place himself in the middle of the room so he can monitor the entire household like the tiny manager he clearly believes he is. He's wonderfully 'Velcro-ish'— he likes following his people from room to room— but he's never overbearing. He's just happiest knowing where his favorite humans are. When it's time to relax, he'll happily curl up on the cool floor nearby or accept an invitation onto your lap for ear scratches and belly rubs before returning to his preferred lounging spot. Think of him as your shadow... just a very cute one. Walks Are His Favorite Hobby Mention the word 'walk,' grab a leash, or simply head toward the front door, and suddenly this mellow little gentleman springs to life. Ewok enjoys 2-3 walks a day, especially when they involve plenty of opportunities to sniff every interesting leaf, mailbox, and blade of grass. He's an excellent leash walker and isn't interested in chasing squirrels or birds. The only thing that might interrupt his perfect walking manners? Other dogs. He's convinced every dog he passes could become his new best friend and would love the opportunity to stop and introduce himself. Calm, Gentle, and Wonderfully Easygoing One of Ewok's greatest superpowers is simply being... easy. He's incredibly quiet, rarely barks, and isn't fazed by the neighborhood dogs carrying on around him. While he'll politely announce visitors at the front door, he settles almost immediately. He's gentle with children— from toddlers to teenagers— and has quickly become a favorite wherever he goes. During a backyard playdate, he was initially a little shy, but once he realized everyone was friendly, he happily joined the fun. Whether your home is active or peaceful, Ewok seems content just being part of it. A Low-Maintenance Little Gentleman Ewok's days are wonderfully simple: Morning breakfast followed by a neighborhood stroll Car rides to school drop-off (he's an excellent co-pilot) A longer walk filled with sniffing adventures Relaxing near his people while they work or unwind Afternoon family time with the kids Evening stroll before bedtime At night, you'll often find him sleeping either on top of his foster sister's bed or curled up beside it on the floor. He's also low-shedding, making him an even easier roommate. The Best Kind of Companion One of the things his foster family loves most is that Ewok has mastered the perfect balance. He enjoys affection without demanding constant attention. He loves cuddles but also appreciates having his own little space. He's happy to be near you without needing to be on top of you every second. His foster family says he reminds them a bit of a cat—content simply sharing the room with his favorite people while quietly keeping them company. A Few Things to Know Like many dogs, Ewok needed a couple of days to settle into foster care. Once he realized he was safe, his appetite returned, he discovered the joys of cozy dog beds and toys, and his sweet personality blossomed. He's almost completely housetrained, with only one early accident in the home. He isn't a fan of crates, and when left alone briefly in an exercise pen, he has had a couple of accidents, so continued consistency and routine will help him continue to succeed. Why You'll Love Ewok Some dogs steal your heart by being goofy. Some do it by being cuddly. Ewok somehow manages both while looking like he's permanently evaluating your decisions. His tiny 'grumpy' face makes people laugh everywhere he goes, but it's his kind heart, gentle spirit, and easygoing personality that make them fall in love. If you're looking for a loyal little sidekick who will happily accompany you through everyday life, quietly supervise your household, join you for leisurely walks, and make you smile every single time you look at his wonderfully expressive face... Ewok is ready to report for duty. July 16, 2026, 7:53 pm
