Story
Meet Chopper – A Little Dog Looking for a Lifetime of Love Chopper is a 2½-year-old white " Pekapoo " (Pekingese/Poodle mix) with a heart full of love and a story that has had more twists than any dog should experience in such a short life. The only family Chopper had ever known made the difficult decision to give him away, posting him on Facebook because they said they no longer had time for him. He was handed off to a stranger in a parking lot, leaving behind the only home he had ever known. After the heartbreak of losing his family, Chopper slowly adjusted to life with his new family and found happiness again. He especially bonded with the family's 6-year-old child, who became his very best friend. Then life threw Chopper another curveball. His mom lost her job and received an eviction notice. Facing the loss of her home, she made the heartbreaking decision to find Chopper a safe place to land. This time, she reached out to rescue for help, wanting the best for him. Once again, Chopper lost everything familiar to him for the second time in his young life. Today, Chopper is thriving in a loving foster home. Despite the setbacks he has faced, he remains friendly, playful, smart, and incredibly resilient. He loves carrying around stuffed toys, playing with other dogs, and then curling up on the couch for a Grey's Anatomy marathon. He walks nicely on a leash, is house-trained and crate-trained, enjoys car rides (especially when they include a pup cup), and is truly an all-around wonderful companion. Chopper is looking for more than just another home—he's looking for his forever family. He deserves a family that will cherish him as a lifelong member and never let him wonder where he belongs again. If your family is missing a friendly little white furball with a big personality and an even bigger heart, Chopper may be the perfect match.
