Aero is a 4 year old neutered male, great around people and older children. He loves to train and works for treats! He is good on a leash and loves being brushed. He has a tendency to resource guard around other pets and chase after animals. He is too rough playing with other dogs to the point of escalating to a fight, but he has always been great in group training classes on a leash. He is looking for a home where he is the only pet.

Meet Cody: A Sweet, Gentle "Dorgi" Looking for a Patient Heart If you have a soft spot for quiet, sensitive dogs who just need a little time to bloom, meet Cody! This 13-month-old, 15-pound Dachshund-Corgi mix (a "Dorgi," a breed famously loved by Queen Elizabeth!) is a gentle young pup searching for his perfect guide in life. Cody arrived at the rescue with his mother and siblings. After separating from the females, he and his brother, Charlie , became incredibly close. Cody is the more reserved of the two, but he is fiercely curious about the world and deeply wants to connect. He is a quiet observer who loves routine, snacking on treats right from your hand, and listening to a gentle voice. Cody’s Dream Home Setup: A Canine Companion: Cody must live with another dog. He relies heavily on a confident dog friend to show him the ropes and will happily follow them everywhere. A Securely Fenced Yard: Because Cody hasn't learned to walk on a leash yet, a fenced yard is required so he can safely explore, sniff, and play while he builds confidence. (Case-by-case exceptions considered if you reach out!) An Adult-Only Sanctuary:{C} Because of his shy nature, a quiet home without children is best. Due to his Dorgi prey drive, he cannot live with cats or small animals. What to Expect on Your Journey Together:{C} {C} Building Trust:  Cody is still getting used to human touch, though he now happily lets us stroke his face. He needs a patient adopter, preferably with experience with shy dogs, who will let him approach at his own pace. Leash & Harness Training:  Because our rescue ranch is near lots of wild animals, Cody hasn't done leash walks yet. His future family will need to start leash training very slowly indoors or in the yard using positive reinforcement. Double the Love? Cody would absolutely love to be adopted with his brother, Charlie! However, if you already have a gentle, friendly dog at home to mentor him, Cody will do just fine on his own. Cody is healthy, neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and completely ready to start his next chapter. He just needs a patient soul to show him that the world is a safe place. Our rescue team will be right by your side with training guides, tips, and ongoing phone/email support to ensure your transition is a beautiful success. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Taffy. Taffy can be nervous and cautious meeting new people right away. Taffy is a sweet puppy looking for the patient, loving family she deserves. She was owner surrendered through no fault of her own, and while she may be unsure of new people at first, she has so much love waiting to come out of her shell. Taffy did not receive the socialization she needed while growing up, so she needs a family who understands that trust takes time. She can be cautious when meeting new people and may need some time to feel comfortable. She also seems to have had some negative experiences with people touching around her neck and the back of her head. Because of this, she may have a slight reaction if someone reaches for or touches those areas before she knows and trusts them . She will need people who are patient, respectful of her boundaries, and willing to let her go at her own pace. Once Taffy gets to know you and realizes she can trust you, her demeanor completely changes. Her sweet and goofy personality really shines, and she becomes an affectionate, happy puppy who loves attention. She will even dance for you in return for some treats or attention! Taffy’s favorite thing in the world is a good back scratch, and once she trusts you, she will happily soak up all the attention she can get. Older/considerate kids only. Taffy is still just a puppy, and with patience, consistency, positive experiences, and plenty of love, we know she will continue to come out of her shell and become the playful, loving puppy she was meant to be.
