Story
Please read Gypsy’s entire bio carefully before applying to ensure she may be a good fit. Gypsy has specific needs and will thrive best in a home that matches her calm and gentle nature, so applications will be considered based on how well those needs are met. Meet Gypsy: This sensitive girl who feels most comfortable in quiet, predictable environments. Gypsy does best in a peaceful home with adults only and prefers low activity levels and minimal stimulation. Gypsy observes the world quietly and enjoys companionship that is calm and respectful rather than hands-on. She is very laid back and not particularly playful, finding joy instead in soft beds, quiet corners, and simply sharing space. Gypsy is not a cuddler, but she appreciates a gentle presence nearby. She is happiest as the only pet, though she may do well with one calm, respectful cat over six years old who understands and honors her need for space. Homes with dogs are not a good fit.  Gypsy can be cautious with new people and situations and will need time to feel safe in her new home. With patience and understanding, she slowly builds trust, and once she does, her gentle presence is incredibly rewarding. Her beautiful heterochromia—two different colored eyes—adds to her unique and delicate charm. Gypsy is looking for a patient, emotionally attuned adopter who values quiet companionship and is willing to let a bond develop naturally and at her pace. If your home is calm and your heart is patient, Gypsy may be a wonderful match for you. Applicants must live within a two-hour drive of Chicago. Exotic Breed Pricing applies.  WE DO NOT HAVE A PHYSICAL LOCATION AS WE ARE A FOSTER-BASED ORGANIZATION.  PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO BE IMMEDIATELY CONNECTED TO A SCREENER. Story
Dear Patient Human, Have you ever wished you could be part of someone's incredible transformation story? Well, we're Tabberton (the handsome orange fellow) and Lilith (the stunning calico lady), and we're looking for the next chapter in our journey to becoming brave cats! *Tabberton here!* I've already discovered something amazing - being petted while eating is actually pretty wonderful! Who knew human touches could be so nice? I'm like a shy artist slowly learning to appreciate his audience. My orange fur might say "bold and dashing," but my heart is still working on catching up to that confidence level. *Lilith speaking!* While my calico coat is a masterpiece of colors, I'm still painting my way toward trust. I've made huge strides this year - I actually come out to explore now when things are peaceful! Think of me as a rare flower that blooms best in tranquil gardens. *Together:* We're both young - just about a year old - which means we have so much potential to grow braver with the right person. Think of us as rough diamonds waiting for a patient jeweler to help us shine. We've already proven we can make progress - you should have seen us a year ago! What we're looking for in our forever home: - A quiet sanctuary where we can build our confidence - A patient human who understands that trust is built in tiny, precious steps - Maybe some calm furry friends (we get along great with other cats and even dogs!) - Understanding that sometimes love means just being in the same room together - A peaceful environment where we can continue our journey to becoming brave While we could technically go to separate homes, we've been each other's courage coaches through this whole adventure. Having a familiar friend makes being brave so much easier! The best part? You'll get to witness and be part of every tiny victory - the first time we take treats from your hand, the moment we choose to come closer, that magical instant when we first let you pet us. Every small step forward is actually a huge milestone, and sharing those moments with our human will make them even more special. Are you the calm, patient soul we've been waiting for? The one who understands that the most precious gifts often take time to unwrap? We promise to make every bit of progress worth the wait. With hopeful purrs, Tabberton (The Orange Optimist) & Lilith (The Calico Dreamer) ?? P.S. - They say good things come to those who wait. We think the best things come to those who wait with treats and gentle voices!  P.P.S. - Orange boy here again! Just want to mention that mealtime pets are my specialty. It's my way of saying "I'm trying!" ?March 23, 2025, 5:27 pm

Story
Avalon is a gorgeous big boy. He is quite a presence when he walks into the room. Despite his size, he is comfortable just hanging around with other cats. It seems he had some bad experiences with humans when he wa s a little kitten and is very cautious around anyone. With us just placing a cat in an unknown situation quite a few cats get super anxious and decide to hide and observe the new place and family from relative safety. To help the cat accept you and develop a loving bond, you would need to put in some effort, loving care, and patience. We think that Avalon will adjust in 6 to 9 weeks. You would need to keep him in one small room (preferably your bedroom) and spend time just sitting, talking or even singing to him.  If that is something you would like to do please fill the Bashful Cat match https://forms.gle/fRm4snuyfnSBaVgR9  It will help determine if you and our bashful kitty will have a great life together. If you are a match we will ask that you complete the standard Survey as a next step October 12, 2024, 12:16 am

Story
Toby is a very cute kitty and low-key boy. He likes to hang out with other cats and feels protected by them. The Beach gang is a litter that was living under someone's deck. It seems that they did have quite a few bad experiences before getting rescued and all are quite timid around people. With us just placing a cat in an unknown situation quite a few cats get super anxious and decide to hide and observe the new place and family from relative safety. To help the cat accept you and develop a loving bond, you would need to put in some effort, loving care, and patience. We think that Toby will adjust in 6 to 9 weeks.
