Check out our webiste for more info.  Applicants must live within 2 hour drive of the Chicagoland area.    Baba is as sweet as sugar with just a hint of spice that is just waiting to rise. Baba hasn't had the easiest lot in life. After being declawed (imagine having your parents chop all your fingers off), he was then abandoned at Chicago Animal Control in pain and terrified. FFF snatched him up and he has slowly been learning to trust the world again. While shy at first, Baba will quickly become a permanent attachment to anyone in the room. He is the ultimate loafer, taking after the cake he is so apty named after: squat and round! And while he may not be the cuddliest of cats, he enjoys spending time with people and accepting all the pets and brushes. He will even headbutt and chirp for attention if his foster is distracted. He will need a home where his person is around more often than not. Baba tolerates other cats with a proper introduction but would prefer be the only kitty in the home. His gorgeous coat just shimmers in the sunlight and that small face and big eyes makes him look just like a snowy owl. As a Persian mix, Baba is truly a prime example of this calm, friendly breed. Baba needs a calm home, preferably gentle older kids and could do well with a respectful dog. Being declawed, he needs very fine litter so as not to hurt his remaining toes, multiple litter boxes, and lots of comfy beds and furniture for him to rest and snuggle on.  And much like an owl, Baba makes all kinds of cute chirps when he is exploring or looking for someone to hang with. He loves to play with toys, especially kickers, and climb on all the shelves and into all the beds he can reach! He is truly the sweetest of cats. What more is there to say about Baba? He is adorable, and fluffy, and looking for a second chance. Will it be you? Meet Jersey Jersey is a petite, long‑haired grey and white beauty with the most striking golden‑yellow eyes. Estimated to be born on April 1, 2025, this young mama has already done an incredible job raising five wild kittens—and now it’s her turn to be spoiled. After retiring her motherhood duties, Jersey is ready for a home filled with peace, love, and plenty of snuggles. She is incredibly affectionate with her people. While she may be a bit cautious when meeting strangers at first, once Jersey knows you, she is completely devoted—following you around, curling up beside you, and happily soaking up every pet you offer. Jersey is also a chatty little lady with an adorable raspy meow and isn’t shy about letting you know her thoughts or concerns. She truly enjoys being part of the conversation! Despite already raising kittens, Jersey still has plenty of playful, kitten‑like energy herself. She loves to romp and play, especially with wand toys, and makes good use of her scratching posts. She’s active, engaged, and would thrive in a home that enjoys interactive playtime. Jersey did wonderfully with her own kittens, but she can be a bit selective with other adult cats. Meet Reggie: Professional Snack Enthusiast, Couch Connoisseur, Big Soft Boy Reggie is a very handsome domestic long-haired gentleman with a grey body, snowy white feet, and a white chest and face that make him look permanently dressed for a fancy dinner. Weighing in at nearly 16 pounds, he’s basically a grey Garfield—minus the lasagna, plus the charm. Reggie had a rough start to life and was found outside, so the whole “living indoors with people” thing is still kind of blowing his mind. He knows he likes humans (especially the ones with food), and he is obsessed with ear scratches. Seriously—ear scratches are his love language. That said, sometimes he gets a little overstimulated because everything is still new, so he’ll do best with people who can read his signals and give him space when he needs it. Did we mention food? Because Reggie LOVES food. Feeding time is his time to shine, and he will happily announce it to the entire household with his impressive vocal talents. He's a chatty boy, especially when it's time for dinner! We estimate Reggie is about 2 years old, so he's a young guy ready to live out many years with his future owners.
