You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. &#226&#128&#139Miss Elvira is looking for her purrfect fur-ever home!  She has been with us approximately 5 months. She had been surrendered to an animal shelter by her family because they were moving. When she came to Last Day Dog Rescue, she was extremely fearful, wanting to hiss at and scratch everyone. After allowing her time to decompress in the fosters home, she has mellowed out somewhat, and is friendlier, wanting to be petted and jump up into your lap! She is a long haired beautiful calico and enjoys being stroked gently. She prefers not to be picked up and held though. Elvira appears large because of all her fur, but weighs about 12 lbs and is estimated to be around 3 years old. Her foster has 3 other cats and a dog and she and another female cat will hiss and growl at each other so they are kept separate in the home. She is a curious and independent cat! We recommend a quieter home for Elvira with no other pets, no children (or older kids only), and a family who will be patient with her. She is spayed, is up-to-date on vaccinations, has been dewormed, and is FeLV/FIV negative. If you are interested in meeting this beautiful girl, please complete an adoption application at www.lastdaydogrescue.org.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. December 5, 2025, 8:44 pm

Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. &#226&#128&#139Zeta Girl is a cautious yet friendly kitten. She is weary of new people and places, as most kittens are, and will take time to warm up. She is the last of her littermates to get adopted likely because she is shy. She loves to hide, but also loves to lounge in the window, on the cat tree, or in a drawer. She is always willing to come running for food and treats though! <3She does well with other cats and kittens. She has done well with dogs but will usually scurry away from their dog-ness. She would love a home with another cat so she can truly blossom into a fantastic feline! If you are looking for a companion for your resident cat or one for yourself that gives personal space she may be the right fit for you.Zeta is up to date on vaccines, spayed, and combo tested negative. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Story
Meet Leo & Lily – The Purrfect Pair 🐾 Age: 1.5 years 🐾 Bonded Siblings – Must be Adopted Together Leo (female) – The Gentle Observer Leo is a quiet, reserved beauty who finds joy in the simple things—like making biscuits on her favorite blanket or watching the world from a sunny window. She’s a dedicated birdwatcher and will happily chirp along to the morning song outside. While she loves to nap near you, Leo values her personal space and can become overstimulated, occasionally giving a gentle nip when she’s had enough. She would do best in a calm home without young children or anyone who can’t respect her boundaries. Lily (male) – The Social Butterfly Lily is a playful, affectionate boy who adores company. He’ll happily follow you from room to room, chattering away and making sure he’s always involved in your day. He can entertain himself for hours with his toy fish but is equally happy to engage with you. Lily loves being the center of attention and will make sure you never feel lonely. While he’s not a fan of long cuddle sessions, he will tolerate being picked up for short periods. Together Leo and Lily balance each other beautifully—Leo brings calm and quiet charm, while Lily adds playfulness and chatter. They’re looking for a patient, loving home where they can continue to grow together. 📍 Best Home For Them: No young children Respectful, patient humans A window perch for birdwatching Plenty of playtime for Lily If you’re ready for a sweet mix of calm companionship and playful energy, Leo and Lily are ready to meet you! IMPORTANT: An application must be filled out and approved before we make special arrangements to meet a cat/kitten. Feral Today Friend Tomorrow adopts to homes that are best fit for the animals’ needs, not on a first-come, first-served basis. As all our foster cats are in private homes, we require an approved application before setting up a meet and greet. You can submit the application online
