Story
Cletus is a quirky, independent guy who marches to the beat of his own (mostly nighttime) drum. By day, he’s a professional napper who loves curling up on a folded blanket at the end of the bed or claiming his favorite chair in the living room. By night? That’s when Cletus clocks in for playtime. He loves feather toys and truly enjoys interactive play. When he’s feeling especially playful, he can get adorably enthusiastic and enjoys games that let him use his paws and practice his hunting skills. He’ll also happily remind you when it’s time to play—or eat—making him a fun companion for someone who enjoys a cat with personality and opinions. While he isn’t overly energetic, Cletus appreciates engagement and enrichment on his own schedule. Cletus values his independence and will do best in a home that allows him time to settle in and feel secure. Once comfortable, he enjoys being near his people and sharing space, even if he prefers to relax on his own terms. Cletus requires prescription soft cat food to support his urinary health and will need to stay on this diet long-term. He has done very well on this food and has had no ongoing issues. Cletus was found as a stray.

Story
*This animal is a part of our “Seniors for Seniors” program where we offer senior adopters an opportunity to adopt an eligible pet at a discounted fee.* Hello, I’m Ellie. Before we go any further, we should address the obvious: Yes, I look like I’m judging you. Yes, I look mildly disappointed. But I promise — it’s just my face. Because underneath this permanently grumpy expression is a sweet, gentle, mellow old lady who lives for lap time and affection. I absolutely love being pet, and once you start, I’ll purr like a little motor, rub all over you, and climb right into your lap as if I pay rent there. I’d prefer to be the only cat in the home (I like to be the center of attention — I’ve earned that), but I don’t mind respectful dogs who understand that I am a senior woman of distinction. Now, I do have diabetes, which means I come with a tiny bit of extra maintenance — think of me as a luxury model. I’m managed with insulin and a low-carb wet food diet, and I’m very brave and polite for my quick little pokes. My foster mom can teach you everything, and honestly? I’m worth it. I also have long fur that can get a bit tangled, so I’ll need someone willing to help me stay comfy and fabulous… because even with this face, I do have standards. So if you’re looking for a cat who looks like she’s filing a complaint with customer service… but actually just wants to snuggle in your lap and be adored for the rest of her golden years, I’m your girl. Will you be my forever human? Love, Ellie (Chief Executive of Judgment, Professional Lap Cat) Ellie is an owner surrender.

Story
Fig AKA Mr. Fig is a big, beautiful floof with an even bigger heart. This handsome boy may be a little cautious at first — he startles easily and likes to take a moment to assess new situations — but once he feels safe, his sweet and affectionate personality truly shines. When Fig gets comfortable, he wants to be near his people. He’s the ultimate work-from-home companion and loves napping on a desk or cozy spot nearby, quietly supervising your day and keeping an eye on what his humans are up to. He doesn’t need to be in your lap at all times — just close enough to feel connected. Fig is a big fan of gentle head scratches and interactive playtime with his people. Wand toys, feather teasers, and games you can play together are right up his alley. He’ll reward you with the cutest little “brrr” greeting noises when he sees you — his special way of saying hello. And if he’s feeling lonely, he won’t hesitate to sing you the song of his people to let you know he misses you. His gorgeous, fluffy coat is something to behold. Fig does a wonderful job keeping himself tidy, but he’ll benefit from the occasional brushing to keep his floof in top condition (and it’s a great bonding activity, too!). Fig would thrive in a home that understands he may need a little patience at first. Give him time, and you’ll gain a loyal, gentle companion who will be your soft, watchful shadow and devoted friend. He does well with other cats and kids of all ages.
