Others because they were forgotten.Sir Whiskerton came to us after being returned to the shelter three separate times, and when no one came for him again, he landed on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, SOS Cat Rescue stepped in before his story ended.Today, this handsome golden Persian is looking for the person who understands that sometimes the most rewarding cats simply need someone willing to meet them where they are.Sir Whiskerton is everything you would expect from a Persian gentleman. His unbelievably soft coat, fluffy feet that look like little slippers, and adorable light golden mustache give him the appearance of an aristocrat who wandered straight out of an old portrait. His luxurious coat requires daily brushing, and because Persians are prone to eye drainage, he also needs routine facial care. Like many Persians, he isn't a fan of having his face cleaned, so we recommend giving him gabapentin before grooming sessions to help make the experience less stressful for everyone.When he first arrived, his coat had become so matted that he needed to be completely shaved. With regular grooming, his beautiful coat has grown back into the silky cloud it was always meant to be.Sir Whiskerton has a few special preferences that make him uniquely him. He enjoys eating from a flat or slightly raised plate because it's much easier on his adorable Persian face. He absolutely adores silvervine toys—especially his favorite silvervine chew—and can happily entertain himself for quite a while. Unlike many cats, wand toys don't impress this gentleman much.He also believes every home should include a cozy heating pad and a covered, cave-style bed where he can retreat when life becomes a little overwhelming. Having a quiet place to decompress helps him feel secure and confident.His future family should understand that scratching posts have never really made sense to him. This was unfortunately one of the reasons he was previously returned. He'll need patient adopters who are willing to redirect him kindly, protect furniture appropriately, and understand that learning new habits takes time. He'll also need regular toenail trims, as he isn't able to keep his nails maintained on his own.Because of his grooming needs, Sir Whiskerton is looking specifically for adopters who have experience with long-haired cats or, ideally, Persians. Sweet Doll Face Persian ready for her fuurrrrever home. She is 2 months old, vaccinated and litter box trained.

Peeta is a 12-14 week-old female kitten found in our backyard. She is playful, energetic, loves to eat, and is still learning appropriate kitten boundaries, including gentle play with people and other cats. Peeta has made great progress with socialization and is becoming more comfortable around people. She loves interactive play with wand toys, climbing cat trees, and playing with the resident cats. She may still be cautious if approached too quickly or startled, but she continues to gain confidence. Ideally, her new home would have a young kitten or well-socialized adult cat to play with, though a home without other cats could also be a good fit for an adopter with the time and patience to care for a kitten. She has received her first FVRCP vaccine, had a fecal examination, been dewormed, and tested negative for FeLV/FIV. She is not yet spayed, so her adopter must arrange her spay when age-appropriate.

Meet Laya- the sweetest, most affectionate cat you’ll ever meet. Laya has been part of our family for over 4 years, and it’s breaking our hearts to write this. He is gentle, peaceful, and endlessly loving; the kind of cat who greets you every morning and just wants to sit near you while you work. He’s great with other cats (he grew up with one and loved playing with her), and he’s wonderful with babies and kids. No medical issues. One thing to be upfront about: Laya has occasional accidents around the house- it comes and goes, a few days at a time, then stops. It predates our newborn but has been harder for us to manage since the baby arrived, on top of everything else going on. We’re rehoming him because we simply can’t give him the attention and consistency he needs at this stage with a newborn at home. This is about our capacity, not who he is. He deserves someone who can focus on him.
