Story
Available March 22nd Alex and been through a lot to get here today. He’s finally ready to be adopted! A Persian from Kuwait, found on a street by a kind person who sought help for him. He was extremely thin, dehydrated, matted, and dirty. He didn’t even look like a Persian back then. His dehydration led to a skin tear, and although it healed very nicely thanks to vets in Kuwait, he still has a big scar on his back from it. Alex is an outgoing, sweet boy who loves attention and being close to his people. He’s the kind of cat who will happily rub against your legs and follow you around just to be nearby. While he’s not a big fan of being held, he’ll tolerate short sessions on occasion. Despite his gloriously plush fur, brushing isn’t his favorite activity, so he may need routine haircuts to keep mats from forming. Alex can be a bit quirky and occasionally feisty, which just adds to his charm. He would do best as an only cat. He hasn’t been around dogs before, but many Kuwait cats adjust well to calm, cat-savvy dogs with proper introductions. And he promises he’s not really mad — that’s just his face! Alex has a history of mouth ulcers and suspected stomatitis. He has undergone a full mouth extraction (FME) and has been treated with steroids to help manage inflammation. Since his surgery was recent, it’s still too early to know whether he will need ongoing steroids or other medications for long-term management.

Story
I'm 66 and and have heart problems. I have had her since she was 7 weeks old. She hates being groomed and now has a huge mound of poop stuck in her fur and won't let me try to get it off. I got so sick from the smell. Someone who can afford to take care of her is who her owner needs to be. She's a good cat. Friendly.

Story
Meet Nomad Nomad is a calm, quiet girl with a tender heart. She can be shy and is still learning to trust people, but she’s making progress every day. With patience and a soft approach, Nomad will allow slow, gentle pets once she feels comfortable. She gets along well with other cats and would do best in a peaceful home where she can settle in at her own pace. Nomad is looking for a kind, understanding family who will give her the time and love she needs to truly feel safe. All our cats are spayed/neutered, dewormed, FELV tested, microchipped, receive prevention while in our care, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. Story
Meet Firefly Firefly is a stunning long-haired beauty with a soft, graceful presence. She came to us from our local Camper Cat case, where 55 cats were living in a camper with their owner. She’s been slow to adjust to the shelter and is still a bit wary of people, taking her time to feel safe. Firefly feels most comfortable around other cats and would likely thrive in a home with a friendly feline companion to help guide her and show her that people can be trusted. With patience, a calm environment, and the right companion, Firefly has the potential to blossom into a loving, affectionate cat. All our cats are spayed/neutered, dewormed, FELV tested, microchipped, receive prevention while in our care, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines.
