He has grown up with 8 kids ranging from ages 6-18, and knows basic commands such as sit, stay, lie down, shake, wait/eat, kennel, etc. He is very affectionate and thinks he is a lap dog- being at his happiest when he is getting attention! Tucker has not lived in a home with other animals, but is curious and gets along with most other dogs who are also friendly!

Story
We picked Paulie up from the SPCA in May 2023. Great dog with good character, knows basic commands like sit, down, paw, and stay. The situation is that he gets too excited around people and other pets. Also with our schedule there is not enough time to take him on enough walks. Unfortunately, after 2 and half years we will not be able to take care of him anymore. Please call if you would like more information or are interested in housing him.

Story
This is Blue. He a larger pit bull/husky mix. He has a lot of energy and like to spend his energy outside. He’s been a real hassle to try to train. We’re only able to get him to do “Sit” and that’s about 50% of the times. He’s a bit older than one year old, with his birthday being in August. He can start to nip at people when he has a lot of energy and we haven’t been able to train him otherwise.

Story
Oso is a 9-year-old Husky with a big heart and a bigger personality. He was first adopted from us in 2018 and, through no fault of his own, has found his way back twice due to changes in his families’ circumstances. Now, he’s hoping that the third time will truly be the charm.Oso has lived with children and even a small dog, and he thrived in a busy home. He does best, however, in a cat-free, small-animal-free environment. At this stage in his life, he’s looking for a calm, steady household where he can relax, be loved, and show off his sweet, quirky nature.Despite the ups and downs, Oso hasn’t lost his gentle spirit — he’s just waiting for someone who will commit to him for good. Could that be you?September 11, 2025, 1:47 pm

Story
Riker is a high-energy, 60#, loving dog who thrives with companionship—whether it’s people or other dogs. He came into my life during a time of transition (towards the end of my marriage), and while I’m doing my best, our current apartment lifestyle just isn’t meeting his needs. He’s smart and eager to please, with a solid understanding of basic commands like *sit*, *down*, *wait*, and *quiet*. He absolutely loves sniffing games, and we’re even working on scent training—he’s learning to find cash! Riker can be a bit leash-reactive, but once he spends just a few minutes with another dog, he usually becomes fast friends. He’s shown interest in cats, though he can be a little too enthusiastic and might give chase, so supervision is key. My top priority is Riker’s happiness and well-being. I’ll always be his safety net—I'm willing to stay involved as a backup home and even help with medical costs if needed.
