Story
We picked Paulie up from the SPCA in May 2023. Great dog with good character, knows basic commands like sit, down, paw, and stay. The situation is that he gets too excited around people and other pets. Also with our schedule there is not enough time to take him on enough walks. Unfortunately, after 2 and half years we will not be able to take care of him anymore. Please call if you would like more information or are interested in housing him.

Story
This is Blue. He a larger pit bull/husky mix. He has a lot of energy and like to spend his energy outside. He’s been a real hassle to try to train. We’re only able to get him to do “Sit” and that’s about 50% of the times. He’s a bit older than one year old, with his birthday being in August. He can start to nip at people when he has a lot of energy and we haven’t been able to train him otherwise.

NOTE:Submit the adoption interest application directly at our HSNB website:https://www.hsnb.org/dog-adoption-applicationWe may not receive anything submitted through PetFinder or Adopt-A-Pet! If you do not receive confirmation from us, email adoptions@hsnb.org . -----Hi, I'm Finley, a happy girl with a sweet, affectionate personality. I'm slightly more petite than your average husky at 51 pounds and yes, I know I'm beautiful, but I won't be a showoff about it.My gentle energy would be right for walks and hikes but I'm not like my wild, wolfie cousins. I recently took a daycation with one of our volunteers an I got an A+ for awesomeness. I was good with people approaching and petting me, and I was extra gentle with children. And though I'm a bit standoffish about other dogs, with slow introductions and guidance, I could be a good friend to another confident gentle dog.If there's a home out there with a loving family or person who will love both my plushie coat and loyal nature, I'm waiting!Check out Finley's profile video here!https://www.hsnb.org/youtube-finley-16680My adoption fee is $250.  Primary Color: White Weight: 50 Age: 4yrs 3mths 2wks

Story
Baron is a handsome 2½-year-old German Shepherd with a heart as big as his ears. He currently weighs about 55 lbs and is underweight, but with regular meals and some TLC, he's sure to fill out nicely. Sadly, Baron was found wandering Mare Island with another emaciated small dog.Even though he has no reason to be, this amazingly sweet boy is extremely friendly with people and seems to do well with other dogs. Baron loves being around his humans and soaks up attention-especially belly rubs, which are definitely one of his favorite things! On leash, Baron can pull a bit, but it seems to come from excitement and curiosity rather than bad manners. He's eager to explore the world and would likely do great with a little leash training. Baron already knows "sit" and "down," showing he's a smart pup who's ready to keep learning. While his house-training status is currently unknown, Baron does potty promptly when taken out for walks, which is a great sign. He also enjoys playing fetch and spending quality time with his people, whether that's active play or just hanging out together. With some time, TLC, and a little training, this boy will be the most wonderful loyal companion. If you're interested in opening your home and heart to Baron, Please head over to our website at www.hsnb.org and fill out our dog adoption interest application. Please note that only the HSNB online application comes to us, applications from other websites like Petfinder and Adopt-a-Pet DO NOT make it to our adoption coordinator for review. Come and meet this sweet, special GSD and helped the Humane Society give him a happily ever after. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Tan Weight: 55 Age: 2yrs 6mths 2wks

She might be trying to help speed the process along by attempting to jump into the harness so she can get out into the world and explore! She loves to meet new doggy friends and show off her cool parkour moves on them! She loves to play fetch and anticipates where you are going to throw the toy and attempts to outrun it. With a high energy level, Monica is active and enjoys long walks. A curious gal, she loves to sniff and find things to put in her mouth on a walk.Even though Monica is full of energy, she is quiet and doesn't bark! This beautiful pup with her one blue eye and one hazel eye is affectionate, friendly, and loves being with people. 💖Check out Monica's profile video!https://www.hsnb.org/youtube-monica-16539Won't you open your heart and home to this fun, happy girl? Her adoption fee is $250.
