Story
Looking for a Loving Home Together – Bonded Pair Meet Jack & Diane, two sweet, bonded rescue dogs who are looking for a new forever home together. About Them: Approximately 3 years old Boxer/Pit Bull mixes Fully vaccinated Double microchipped Bonded pair – they have been together since being rescued and need to stay together. Jack is the shorter, chunkier guy. He's laid-back, easygoing, and loves relaxing. Diane is a little more energetic and playful. She enjoys being active and exploring. Both dogs are a bit timid at first but are loving once they feel safe. They especially enjoy spending time outdoors, and we'd love to find them a home with a fenced yard or someone who can give them plenty of outdoor time. Their owner is moving and, unfortunately, cannot take them along. This is a heartbreaking decision, and we're committed to finding them a safe, loving home where they can stay together.

Story
Hi my name is Ricotta! I am a shy kind of dog who is looking for a patient owner who is willing to give me time to adjust and open up in my new home. When I am comfortable, I love to give kisses, cuddle, and get belly scratches. In my forever home, I bet I will be even more cuddly and playful! I have been fearful and conflicted around dogs, so I would need a home as the only dog to be my best self. Could I be the one you`re looking for? Please come meet me at the shelter or call the adoptions team at 734-662-5585 for more information about me! Ricotta has heartworm which means that this dog has parasitic worms in the right ventricle of the heart and nearby blood vessels. Heartworm is transmitted from one dog to another by mosquitoes and can be easily prevented using monthly heartworm preventative, but once the disease is contracted the treatment process can be quite intensive. Ricotta will need to remain sedentary with minimal activity during the treatment process to ensure a healthy recovery. There is additional information on heartworm disease and treatment available at our Adoption Desk. The heartworm injections for treatment are covered by HSHV, but there may be additional costs associated with clinical care.Ricotta is currently living in one of our wonderful foster homes. Adopting from foster is easy! Please email adoptions@hshv.org or call (734)662-5585 to arrange a meeting today!

Hi my name is Bailey! I am a shy kind of dog who is looking for a patient owner who is willing to give me time to adjust and open up in my new home. I can be rather shy so I would prefer a quieter home without younger children. Once I get more comfortable, I will come out of my shell and start to show more of my true personality. If you are interested in meeting me, please fill out an adoption survey online or in the shelter. Bailey is currently living in one of our wonderful foster homes. Adopting from foster is easy! Story
Hello, my name is Luna, I am a senior dog who knows what I am looking for in a forever home. I will be an open book from the start! You will know important things like my full-grown size, personality, and ideal lifestyle. I’m a sensitive girl, other dogs can overwhelm me, so I’d like to be the only one in your life. I’m looking for a quieter home without any young kids under 5 so I can be your main focus. I would enjoy a more low-key lifestyle to live out my golden years!
