Story
Emma has been our beloved best girl for ten years, since we adopted her as a puppy from Rescue Village on Black Friday. She’s a wonderful cuddler, loves playing ball, is housebroken, and is current on vaccinations and veterinary care. She’s taken a low dose of anxiety medication for about two years. Emma plays with dogs at City Dogs daycare but barks at other dogs, so we recommend an only-dog home. She can guard the couch and bed, though we haven’t observed food guarding. Young children’s sudden movements and grabbing startle her. Recently, our toddler tried to join her under a blanket on the couch, startling her. She bit his face, breaking the skin on his nose. Emma needs a calm, loving home without small children. Older children who consistently respect her space may be a fit. Despite medication and separation, we feel this is necessary for everyone’s safety. This is heartbreaking, and we want a peaceful home where she can be loved.

Location: St Paul, MN If you know anyone who wants a calm, loving, 5 year old pup, Shalla is amazing! She's potty trained, will sit by the door when she has to go, good in the bath and car, AMAZING on leash (barely need to hold the leash, no pulling), knows "wait," loves tummy rubs, and is fully vetted, spayed and microchipped. She can get a little jealous of other dogs when you cuddle them over her (growls/barks/maybe a corrective nip), so if she's adopted with another dog, co-existing training is recommended. However, she's good with kids and isn't aggressive toward people or other dogs. She will occasionally bark at people outside the window but is easy to calm down with a quick pet. She loves cuddling, walks and light play. 10/10 Good Girl.

Location: Sioux Falls, SD Paige LOVES walks, car rides, and laying outside in the sun! She also loves getting bones, but doesn't like to share, so will need to enjoy them separated from any other dogs while eating her bone. She loves pets and attention, but also needs her own space where she can de-compress and relax. Paige is a sweet girl and loves having guests and people over, but gets nervous around little kids, so will be looking for a home with no kids or older kids that can respect her space. Paige loves to be picked up and loves to give hugs. She is house trained. She was not kenneled in her previous home, so she is slowing learning her crate is not a bad place. Location: Sheldon, IA Ivan is shy at first but warms up quickly. He has gotten along great with our resident two dogs and three cats. He likes to play with our little dog and prefers his people over toys or treats. He’s pretty quirky and likes to sleep with his head off of the bed. He doesn’t like to be away from people but we have been working with him on his confidence. He walks well on a leash and does well in our yard.
