Story
Aurora is a beautiful, spunky 7 year old German Shepherd/Husky mix with lots of love to give. She loves to play fetch, enjoys belly rubs and pets, and entertains herself with bones and toys. Timid at first, she is a goofball once she warms up to new people and places. She does best with consistency, routine, and a primary caregiver who has the time and patience to help her feel safe. A home with a yard or a quieter suburban environment would likely suit her best. Slower introductions to new people are important for her, but once trust is built, she is affectionate and settled. In calm environments, she is quite chill and enjoys closeness with people she knows well. Rory struggles with reactivity, which shows up primarily as nervous barking toward people outside or unfamiliar situations. This is rooted in insecurity rather than aggression. With the right structure and practice, she has already shown signs of improvement. She is in training with The Canine Coach in the Twin Cities.

Story
Kal is a gentle, calm, sweet, well-trained dog who gets along with everyone! He is easygoing and a joy to have around. I adopted Kal from a kill shelter in Montana last year and planned to rehome him in Minnesota, but I fell in love with him. Our time together has been wonderful. He is very active and makes an excellent running partner, which we go on daily, but he would prefer a home with a yard, whether fenced or in the country, where he can have space to roam. He is fully potty trained, walks and runs great on leash, loves car rides, and is unusually quiet and gently for a husky. He is affectionate, sweet and so easy to live with. Kal is looking for a loving home where he can enjoy space, stability, and companionship!

Story
Carrots is an owner give up to our rescue. Below is the information her owner gave us initially. I have had Carrots for almost two years now. She has been the most amazing friend I could have asked for. She rarely barks and only lets out an occasional whine if she needs to go out or is wanting some attention. She’s a well behaved for a dog that lives her life with me in a small dorm and can only go out to play fetch or go for a walk when I’m not at class or work. She needs better. In general, she has been amazing for the hand she’s been dealt. I actually couldn’t be more grateful for how well she’s treated me as she’s grown to be near a full two years old!! I am having to part with her because she is still a puppy, and I’m a Junior in college struggling to work and commute on weekends when I have to, and give her the attention she deserves. She’s trained well. She sits on command, she can stay if you ask, she’s house trained, and she’s comfortable with her kennel if needed. She uses a harness for walks and does great. She was trained to walk on the left of you and she’s usually pretty good about staying focused. She has started the process of being an ESA certified dog but has not rec'd her second certification. Her previous owner said that she was around a child once and growled so we do not recommend her with small children. She has never been around cats so we cannot say whether she will or will not be okay arounds feline friends. She would make a great family member for an active family. Carrots is being fostered in MS but included in your adoption fee is transport to a location near you by Rescue Riders Pet Transport, the most animal friendly transport on the road! The adoption fee includes her medical for a health certificate and transport to you. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
